The coming death of Fox news...

As the leftist heirs drive Fox ratings into the CNN/MSNBC ditch, it will be a great opportunity for someone to take the audience.

Fox News Heir Vows to Radically Change Network

Media mogul Rupert Murdoch's desired plan for succession would have left oldest son Lachlan in control of Fox News and News Corp.
But a recent court ruling and family in-fighting will likely leave his news empire in control of his left-leaning children who have vowed to radically change the network, according to press reports out last week.

Ok, so it just leaves the door open to the other conservative-leaning networks out there (the few there are) to step up and take the reigns. Fox has been trending down for a few years anyway so this won't upset me.
That said, why can't we just have non-biased news organizations who report the facts and let Americans draw their own conclusions without being fed talking points?

We got young upstarts who can replace them.
And don't forget that CNN appears to be inching further to the middle.
Scott Jennings is fire.

What on earth will I watch now.
A mistake people make is getting their information from the news. You watch news to keep up with current events and to see what position each side is taking. That should be filtered through already attained information.

They're ALL going away soon

According to a report by the Los Angeles Times, the median age of CNN’s audience in 2023 was 67, up from 60 in 2017. This figure, while higher than in previous years, still places CNN as the cable news network with the youngest audience, compared to Fox News with a median age of 68 and MSNBC with a median age of 71.

There was a long court hearing on the succession of Murdoch and his sons.
One son and his wife are very hard left neverTrumpers. The one moderate son lost in the succession.
Fox will be made to be so left that they will all be worse than Paul Ryan on the board.

The liberal kids will have the ratings in the crapper within a year. They will be looking up at CNN and all the others

Their primetime cash-cow lineup will make a lot of money for someone else. Meanwhile, Fox will have a Maddow-clone that nobody will watch.

I rarely watch them. If the heirs take Fox in the direction of MSNBC and CNN, I'll watch them less.

True, Scott is great.
The problem is that news organizations even have pundits and other "opinionators" on their networks at all, though. It should only be reporters who report the facts and only the facts. Anything that's not verifiably fact should never be uttered in the media in my opinion. 99% of American voters get their opinions from people on the news who give their opinions. Nobody just listens to the facts and draws their own conclusions and that's why we are where we are today.
"Today, President Trump signed into law XYZ bill passed by Congress on a such and such vote in the Senate and a such and such vote in the House. Here's how your congressman/senator voted. The law is set to go into effect immediately. In other news, the bird flu making its way through poultry populations across America is still going strong and X-number of states have decided to pre-emptively slaughter X-number of chickens in an attempt to bring this under control. Economists say no decrease in egg prices is expected for another X-number of weeks/months."
is better than
"Today, twice-impeached convicted felon President Trump signed into law a bill passed by a partisan House and Senate, consisting of mostly ultra-MAGA officials. It's set to become law immediately and with more on how this will impact minorities, we bring in CNN contributor Liberal McTardyface. Liberal, how can the LGBTQ and dark-skinned community expect to wake up tomorrow with this law?"
Liberal McTardyface: "Well, Anderson, let me first just say that Mr. Trump promised prices would go down under his watch and here we are four weeks into his presidency and low-income Americans are still struggling to feed their poor kids. But on top of that, if you are gay or trans or brown in this country, I say to you "hang in there, it's always darkest before the dawn" and we will get through this together."
That's the whole problem with the media today. 1% facts, 99% opinions.

If Elon staked them, Gutfeld and Tucker could build a hybrid linear/online platform that would likely take the remaining air out of Fox tomorrow - pick and choose whom to bring over and whom to leave behind (i.e. Watters, Perino, Compagno, etc.)
ETA: Yeah, and poach Jennings from that sinking ship.

Got it - the TAG-X network - "Tucker and Gutfeld" plus the obligatory X.

We no longer have a 'news' industry.
We have a propaganda industry instead.
