Does anyone think 2025 has potential to be a National Championship year?

Senior QB who has all the tools and all the role players on offense to be potentially electric.

The defense will have another year under elite coaching with Baker, Peoples, Bo etc. and key playmakers coming back along with good upgrades in the portal.

I'm not trying to pretend we're the favorites but is it crazy to think this team has the chance to be the last man standing?

Is Brian Kelly still coaching the team?

If so, no natty

Yes, they will clearly have a better roster. They made upgrades at every position on defense

Currently 8th best odds at +2000

If they can actually show up week 1, I’m all in on 2025

If ole Les and the Shrimp Boat Captain can win a championship here, then BK can certainly win one. This is his year if he is going to win one though.

Quick question, is the Championship in NOLA this year? That is a very big part of the equation as well.

No. Going to start 0-1 and lose Atleast one game LSU shouldn’t. That’s what BK does.

Let’s just hope the team wins its first game. Then we can figure out if the playoffs are possible. Lose the first one and you have to almost be perfect from there.

I'm not saying you're wrong, but this is why the board is the way it is. 7 months out from the first game and we're talking about a national championship lol.

LSU should have the potential to win a natty every single year.

To even have a shot in the dark LSU has to be able to run the ball much better. With Nuss not eager to run at all, LSU has to have a better than average run game, you can't win week after week throwing the ball 50 times.

And the defense has to be significantly better which is a big question mark.

Short answer, yes. Ohio State and Oregon are rebuilding with new QB’s, Penn State, Texas, Clemson look formidable with complete rosters. UGA, Bama, Tennessee, OM have a lot to replace in our conference. We are set up to make a run in 2025, but we have to do the damn thing and take care of business. I’m cautiously optimistic.

If, and its a really big IF, they take one game at a time, focus, practice hard, understand X's & O's, play harder, & execute the game plan, they have a shot...

Nussmeier will give us a real chance. He also has a chance at the Heisman.

Too many new parts to know for sure. Nuss and his new receivers need to spend the summer attached at the hip like Burrow was with Jets, Chase, Marshall, and Moss.
