Kobe immediately jumps out as an odd choice given the rest of the list

Yeah, that threw me off too.

Does that mean Jordan and Lebron go in upon death as well?

Jordan maybe. LeBron is only the king of flopping and choking

The rest of the list (previously announced) is very long. But yes Kobe is NBA HOF but not this.

Caoretta King doesn’t seem up to the level of the others either……

Should make one of Thomas Sowell. Give him the honor of seeing that while he's still alive.

Glad Kodak cleaned up for the occasion. Just less than a week ago there was a viral video of him laying in the middle of the street somewhere in Miami smacked out of his mind eating a chicken plate. It was pretty unsettling lol

Agreed.

But I liked the choice of Kobe, too. He had a terrific work ethic, and didn't mindlessly follow the crowd, having had an unconventional upbringing. Spent some time in Italy growing up, I believe.

I think it’s the Cobain effect. Died too young so now you overdo it with the honors and praise. Should’ve been Jordan if you wanted to go with a bball player.

I remember at one of the first 2016 rallies Trump said something like "Oh we love our blacks dont we folks?"

He’s a better selection than communist infiltrator/agitator Rosa Parks

Clarence Thomas would have been a better choice than several on this list.

Why Kobe? I could have missed something he did impactful. Maybe I forgot or can’t remember any help?

And Kobe seemed to get the loudest applause in that video. Recency bias I’d assume

President Trump announces that the National Garden of American Heroes will include statues of African American icons Harriet Tubman, Rosa Parks, Billie Holiday, Aretha Franklin, Coretta Scott King, Frederick Douglas, Jackie Robinson, MLK Jr., Muhammad Ali, and Kobe Bryant.

Fun fact time!

While receiving the Ellis Island Award for the celebration of inspiring Americans who are selflessly working for the betterment of our country and its citizens, Donald J. Trump stood on the stage with both Rosa Parks and Muhammad Ali.

Put that in your pipe and shove it up your arse, libs.
