You think Amazon will do a worse job than the Broccolis have recently?

Amazon is certainly fully capable of doing just that

At what price? Apparently the reputation of a franchise has a number.

Any studio is capable of it, but I would argue Amazon has more hits than misses overall.

They've done both good and bad stuff.

I'm not going to judge anything until there is something to judge. Let's see what people they have get involved with it.

They are 100% capable of that.

To be fair, they didn't make Jack Ryan anything but Jack Ryan.

They did a decent job on JR. The 2nd season was utter stupid trash with a dumb woke plot, but otherwise it was decent.

Amazon MGM and the Broccoli's have been fighting forever on who the new Bond would be. They probably just threw an ungodly amount of money at them for control.

Barbara Broccoli was the one giving interviews saying that on the next James Bond "whiteness is not a given.”

Yeah, she has been the one making offhand comments about James Bond needing to evolve with the times and needing a more modern Bond that is a feminist or whatever the frick she said.

I think Amazon won't go that route like people think they will.

My dream is still for a period piece throwback Cold War Bond series of films

I'm not in the "everything is woke and horrible" camp but the streamers have shown a propensity to twist classic franchises so that they'll fit the current styles and, even worse, dilute them with overexposure.

Bond has been a film series without spin-offs in film or TV (except for the Brian Cox reality series). If Amazon decides to have a Q series, or Young M, or The Moneypenny Files... the brand is fricked.

Most of the Craig Bond movies sucked. I'm sure Amazon will find a way to make Bond suck more.
