An 11-year-old girl took her own life in Texas after she was tormented by classmates who threatened to call Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) authorities and have her family deported from the US, her grieving parents have said.

quote:

Jocelynn Rojo Carranza passed away on February 8 after spending five days being treated in a Dallas hospital. This came after she was taunted with deportation threats for weeks by sixth-grade classmates at Gainesville Intermediate School, around 70 miles north of Dallas, her mother Marbella Carranza told Univision.

quote:

Classmates allegedly harassed the young girl by telling her she would be left alone without her family once they were deported.

quote:

But the alleged abuse spiraled, and despite reportedly informing school officials on numerous occasions, no action was taken to stop it.

That’s horrible. The issue here is bullying, though, not the existence of ICE and current efforts to enforce U.S. immigration law.

It's unclear how the girl hurt herself, but her family believes relentless bullying drove her to suicide, according to a GoFundMe page.

Here come the heartstring stories to try to change the narrative from the reality that the majority of voters want mass deportation

right here, absolutely. And Trump getting all the criminals out is something all of us should be for. Hell, we have enough American born criminals we have to deal with.

Yea, but c on z wouldn’t have made the thread if ICE wasn’t mentioned.

Are her parents here illegally? That’s the question. If so, then ship them back. Illegals kill Americans here and break our laws, then get put right back on the streets by corrupt politicians.

I hate it for the girl and family but as it was said earlier, this is a bullying issue. If the parents are here illegally, ship them back.

Well policies do have a way of impacting culture on some level. On a somewhat related note, there has been an unfortunate rise in ICE impersonators lately.

What a weird article. The parents notified the school multiple times that people were telling their daughter about deporting them, but they didn’t just sit her down and tell her that it wasn’t true and put the issue to rest? Were the parents actually here illegally? I’m just not seeing how a sixth grader can “torment” another sixth grader for an extended period of time about something like that.

She would have been bullied for something else, like the multitudes of teens who kill themselves yearly for reasons that have nothing to do with ICE.

ICE has nothing to do with this.

You just want to politicize her death for your progressive masters.

ICE will continue to deport the criminals within the USA.

Sorry.

You're not supposed to. You're supposed to read the headline, not give it any deeper thought, and get pissed off.

No it’s not, the issue is there are deportation laws and ways our govt deals with ppl not vetted and our politicians have flooded the whole country with dreamers or illegals or what ever undocumented ppl and let them go to schools that I am paying for that you are paying for and get govt assistance that I am paying for.

The issue is bullying and getting everyone to stop being a fricking freeloader.
