So Trump doesn't get blasted for changing his stance on the vaccine.
Trump started to become a lot more concerned with Covid in April 2020 after his good friend died. He was fully in support of getting a vaccine rolled out ASAP. But it was also a election year so he had to be careful what he was saying publically,

April 2020 and February 2025 are a lot different. I don’t blame people for being concerned when there was a lot of uncertainty.

Interesting that it doesn't say he died FROM covid. It just says he died after he got it. He could have been murdered after getting covid and the sentence would still be true.
