Not much of a snacker but when I do it's usually a gala apple or mixed nuts.

Plantain chips. If only there was a company that cooks them with good oils and wasn’t stupid expensive. I could eat my weight in those things.

Ever thought about doing them at home? That way you can use the type oil you like and probably cut the cost in half or more.

So, the following are off the menu or seldom cooked at your home?

Fish
Shrimp
Oysters
Chicken
Bacon
Eggs
Panne' Pork Chops
Breakfast Sausage
Potatoes

Anyone can cook any of those things different ways ?

We don’t fry food. It’s messy and not healthy.

Edit: might lightly pan fry/saute every now and then, that’s it.

I have a multi-level dehydrator that I will cut up 8-10 bananas in 1/4 in. slices and it usually takes a good 10-12 hours from start to finish. The only issue is, when dried, all those 8-10 bananas will fit in a quart freezer bag since they shrink up so much but are so damn good as a quick snack.

I do the same with apples, peaches, plums and figs when my tree gives me more than I can use at one time for 2 weeks in the summer.

Salted cashews, chocolate covered almonds, and “hot” flavored Cheese curls/ puffs. Only a small portion of one of these as I don’t sit and snack much.

If I do have a minute, Panchos Original Queso dip with some good tortilla chips is hard to beat.

I usually opt for a couple slices of beef jerky, cucumbers and hummus, almonds, or dried seaweed snack. If I want a bit more sweetness, I'll heat up one of those Kodiak power cups. I'm also pretty hungry after my afternoon workouts, so a protein shake fills me up until dinner. On the weekend, I indulge a bit more... Dots pretzels are my weakness.
