He said: "Yesterday here in Munich, the US vice president made it clear [that] decades of the old relationship between Europe and America are ending.
"From now on things will be different and Europe needs to adjust to that."
Earlier this week, US Defence Secretary Pete Hegseth said that Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine was a "factory reset" for Nato which signalled the alliance needed to be "robust", "strong" and "real".
On Saturday, Zelensky said: "Let's be honest. Now we can't rule out the possibility that America might say no to Europe on an issue that threatens it.
"Many, many leaders have talked about Europe that needs its own military.
"An army, an army of Europe."

So when a small country like Germany fought like hell against all of Europe they were on the verge of defeat even though merchant ships from America were getting them supplies in both Ww1 & WW11. It wasn’t till US came in and gave her blood & treasures. This while battling with the growth of a new country and its own economy, now we enter every damn scuffle around the world that comes along. The debt we have incurred domestically and internationally has threatened our very own existence and there is nothing any of those European countries or any other country that could aid us if needed. Ukraine can join European forces but expect failure as those aristocrats nations have decided to destroy themselves from within already

The people of Western Europe will turn on their governments very quickly once those shells start landing on their territory. Their population is mostly cosmopolitan and don’t have the stomach for war nor the desire to fight . Russia would mop them up over the long run
