One of the great American screenplays, imo. I posted this thread a while back:

Don’t mess with the bull, young man, you’ll get the horns.

“The Breakfast Club' opened at a theater near you

Although having multiple giant theaters in my area with those old massive screens and a million seats, Breakfast Club only played for a few weeks in some tiny Theater that was the size of a modern Home Theater and it was about 40 minutes away.

Nobody really thought it would be a hit but word of mouth got out....and the Theater brought it back for awhile because of demand.

I think the same applies today, but worse with all the Superhero stuff and cartoon movies, I don't even know if it would hit Screens.....probably streaming on some platform.

Well Sixteen Candles was a sweeping regular movie teen comedy so its gonna appeal more.

Breakfast Club is a Play.

Great coming of age movie, with an important message at the end.

I'll allow it.

But for the genre, I still hold that, at least for its soundtrack, Valley Girl was perhaps the most authentic 80's. Not the biggest hits of the day, but much of the music hit that sweet spot of late 70's early 80's era which was so unique.

Claire made her in her own image. Mainly just to show her how good she looks in a different style.

Going back to something a bit in the middle is probably what she’ll end up .
