Spring is around the corner, what are your golf goals for the rest of the year?

I want to get fitted for some new clubs. I want to start playing at least once a week. Maybe even a local course membership.

Stay a single digit handicap. Currently 9.
Play good on my trip to Bandon. Brag.
Play during the week more.
Gain some yardage back throughout the year.

I’d like to get good enough so when I hit a good shot people don’t act so surprised.

Try to figure out my hook.
That’s it.
That’s it.

To play more than three times a year to justify my membership.

To get back healthy. Having knee surgery tomorrow so I’m hoping just to get back on the course soon.
I was coming off a Member Guest 1st place finish at GCOH and playing some of the best golf of my life recently. Looking forward to bouncing back even stronger!

Getting my knees looked at Wednesday. Hopefully the doc can help me there.
Already got one golf goal i honestly never expected to hit for at least another 5-6 years at best in shooting my age last week.
So the only one left on the list is make ace #10.

I want to shoot a round under par this year.
My last round out was a 74 on a cold and windy Oak Harbor track, so I think I am close.
The only real hole in my game is bunker play and I spend my rounds avoiding them at all costs. Ex: Laying up on reachable par 5’s and even longer par 3’s to avoid them.
I also need to make the occasional putt outside of 5 feet. I don’t 3 putt, but I also don’t make nearly enough putts.
My rounds are incredibly boring lately. Just a bunch of 2 putt pars and relatively easy up and down pars. My course management has improved tremendously, but I need to dial some aggression back into my game to truly go low.

I need to get my putting much better. In my last 20 rounds, I am averaging 36 putts a round. I started off hitting 4 straight green's last week and somehow was 6 over for those holes. My putting is trash. That is some serious low hanging fruit.
I would love to break 80 and get my handicap down from 17 to 12. I think I can get 3 strokes from putting alone. I am hoping course management and short game will get me down on the other 2.

Shoot a round under par this year. Came close a few times last year, but screwed it up on 17 and/or 18.
Make an ace. Been playing for 30 years this year. It's time.

Walk more
I have such a better time playing when I walk. I say it in a lot of threads, but I think it would make people enjoy a crowded course more. You likely won't play faster, but instead of driving quickly to your ball in the fairway only to wait for the green to clear, the round will flow smoother because you are likely hitting by the time you get to your ball.

Playing on that Newsweek Louisiana Amateur Tour this year. Goal is to make the Ryder Cup team at the end of the year. Played competitively for the first time in ages last year and I just choked both times. Hoping this year the tournament nerves are out of the way. Never had those before.
Also hoping my back stays halfway decent so I can even play as much as I'd like/plan to.

A few things actually..
1. Figure out why a tee shot with anything longer than a 5i is absurdly inconsistent and get fitted for a driver.
2. Lose weight and get a bit more in golf shape with focused weight training.. figured if I can hit my goal of dropping 50lbs couples with strengthening my core, legs and other golf muscles I can get back some stability and club head speed.. Right now typical 7i club head speed is 86-87 mph.. would like to find 3 or more extra along with a bit more stability through the turf when hitting..
3. Hoping if I can accomplish 1&2 that I can get a even par round at least at my home course

Ha, this. I can f'n relate to this.
I got my current set of clubs in 2000 ish. I played weekly, and the best I could get was to get in the low 90's. I was happy. I'd like to get there again adn break 90. And I'd like to walk more, and lose some lbs. probably would be good to get some of those afternoon weekday rounds in once the time changes. That's my goal this spring/summer. I am going to do my best to spend more time playing.

Yeah the only clubs I've ever been fitted for are my irons and that was a huge s change...
I've just bought woods off the shelf for the longest time and while my TaylorMade 3w and 7w are just fine (Still could use a proper fitting for those as well).. driver is an absolute liability at this point especially after lessons and working on swing changes.. .
Most of the time I can do just fine hitting my 3w off the tee but I truly need a driver I feel comfortable with poking out there a wee bit further that the 3w will go
