The one biggest change you hope to see in 5 years...

I'm curious what the biggest change you hope to see in 5 years time for your own life (that politics could improve)?
I live in rural England, so pretty disconnected from day to day life in the US these days, I do travel back occasionally and still have friends and family across the south.
Life here in rural eastern England is pretty peaceful/quiet. Living expenses is probably the biggest change I've seen over the last 5 years and I'd like to see some movement on that (but not hopeful I will here). But for yall back in the south, if you had to pick one thing that affects your day to day life to be improved in 5 years, what would it be?

Subsidized housing such as Section 8 to be gutted. Nobody minds helping the elderly or disabled but (like SSI) it’s just out of hand. And it’s just become the vehicle with which the ghetto infiltrates and destroys decent communities. Subsidized housing is the root cause of suburban sprawl, as people keep moving further and further from the ghetto that chases them.

If the government could stop robbing me blind every 2 weeks that’d be great. Cut spending in half. Nobody would notice.

Hopefully, Jesus will come back by then and straighten everything out. Sorry dems but hell awaits most of you.

Any one of these 3:
1) Gut the FCC and break up the conglomerates that make TV and radio unviewable and unlistenable. A lot of us have a work commute, and the options to collect information on the free air waves are disgustingly anti-American. Kill all forms of entertainment and political content influencer support for Sirius Radio, and cable outfits that have censored conservatives/populists/nationalists for over a decade. Go after the FCC for allowing our phones to be harassed by phishers and scammers while big corporations give us nothing to fight against it. Make it impossible for a scammer to solicit our elderly for electronic robbery without a track record for prosecution. This is our FCC. They DON'T DO SH*T!
2) Make all legalese documents easy to understand. Especially in regards to our healthcare. We are being scammed by our own healthcare providers and big pharma. Give us a better way to track and challenge our healthcare bottom lines. It's confusing, and often a place where we sign up for a program because deductibles can account for a deduction, and that deduction never happens. Robbery!
3) Taxes. Property taxes are a disgrace here in TX. Going to underperforming schools, while unlawful appraisal hikes take more and more, while appraisal districts have no checks and balances to overinflate the taxable value of property. Then there is the Fed income Tax. Probably 85 percent of it is money laundered and doesn't pay for any of the US needs.

The amount of TDS. That needs to be fixed. The syndrome effects everybody and its out of control. Because of it, there is no common sense anymore.

The burning desire for Truth from my fellow American citizens.
They laughed at me in New York City
Called me a fool in L.A
I doubt that Nashville saw me coming
Besides the bar folks working late
Played every room in the state of Texas
All the ones in California too
So many nights I can't remember
Maybe I've played a song for you
Left San Francisco in a hurry
They ran me out of Fort Worth town
Been to the bottom of New Orleans
Them river boats make a lonesome sound
Lawmen they caught me in Virginia
No need to tell you what I done
Make sure you get your act together
Before you roll up 81
I've seen the other side of Dallas
Trying to climb up to the top
One thing I know about that city
Man, the hustle never stops
That's how I got real good at losing
Wasting precious time
Those folks who talk about me
Have never lived no life like mine

I spent 70,000 in taxes last year and paid $6 for a dozen eggs yesterday. I could build a killer chicken coup if I only had to spend $65,000 in taxes last year.

I don’t understand why it always has to be in towns and cities, except I know why. They’re propping up the building industry by getting whitey to build a new house. Find a place just outside of town on cheaper land, subsidize a dollar general and a liquor store next to em, and be done with it. Maybe even build em an elementary school.

Which is why the money clan is gonna fight tooth and nail to keep Section 8 subsidies funded. Sprawl means building, which means investment.
I don't agree with it. We waste too much of our natural landscape for sprawl. But I understand the grift.

5 years from now I will be retired.
Lower taxes.
2% inflation.
A roaring stock market.
Fully legalized marijuana.

Put the Trans freaks back where they belong, in the closet.
Never in the history of the world has a group as small as .01 % of the population has gotten so much attention.
It's Disgusting

I’d like to see Congress pass a balanced federal budget again.
In order to do so, they’ll have to enact every other good policy I want enacted

Oh for sure. I don’t expect anything to ever be done about it. And we’ll keep seeing the same cycle of sprawl and building and decay.
