What’s the thoughts that he really comes to the Saints? Why would he leave a stacked offense to come and coach players that belong in the old folks home.

Gets to be a head coach in the NFL...There are 32 total in the world. Does this need to be spelled out for anyone?

Sometimes people forget there are only 32 of these NFL head coach positions in the entire world... so a coach being deemed worthy of being 1 (esp. for the 1st time) will take it wherever

No one remembers OCs when it is all said and done.

You can’t be this fricking dumb can you? NFL HC job is better than OC for the Eagles. If you don’t understand that, then it’s not worth discussing with you. Saints head coach is at worst the 32nd best job in the NFL. We will likely be paying better than a lot of teams do. This isn’t hard, man.

I would add that the exceptions are those that are deemed really special. Guys like Ben Johnson can turn down gigs and wait for better opportunities.

Moore isn't perceived as that. I'm actually glad this happened when it did because another year or 2 Moore may have been more coveted

He’s coming. Not everyone wanted this job, do give Moore credit for stepping up to a challenge.

This is the worst situation and HC job in the NFL, let’s see if Moore can make a difference. If he’s a culture builder, I don’t expect to win until 27.

I'll never understand when people say NO is the worst HC job and situation in the NFL? How does one perceive that?

Payton took over an organization that won 3 games the year before and a city that dealt with Hurricane Katrina. He took them to the NFC championship game his first year.

The Saints had a bad record but they lost 6 games by one score. Lost to the Eagles by 3 points when they had a lead and for most of the game held Saquon in check. They allowed Goedert to go off in that game. A majority of the losses occurred when key players were out with injuries. Imagine a healthy team with a HC who knows what they are doing, and those losses could be wins. 11-6 would have won the division.

Moore will come in and get his staff and the players he wants. The organization will give him time to get his players. Most other teams fire their HC after 1 year or halfway thru the 2nd year.

Saints front office is a big problem . Plus , you have aging players and a monster contract for a journeyman QB . If Moore wants to take that on … OK !
