Here are the final spring stats that I have compiled from Scuba's recaps. I think I'm missing one outing from Benge, I just did not see them on the recap for last weekend.
Batting sorted by OPS and pitching sorted by WHIP.
Let's go win a natty

Thanks for doing this. Looks like Curiel and Reaves could be flipped by ops

Has Hernandez shown anything at the plate between the fall and spring?

The numbers are right, I had to make a slight adjustment to the formula right before posting and it looks like it changed the numbers enough to make them flip spots. Then I forgot to hit sort again before taking the screenshot.

If I recall, I think Jones was near hitless last preseason and went on to have a great season. Hopefully this is a sign of an even bigger year.

How are you getting the pitch count ?

Braswell with only 2 hits in 25 plate appearances? Yikes! Hopefully, his defense justifies his presence on the field.

For comparison, these were the Spring 2024 scrimmage numbers:

I wouldn’t go into it with any expectation.
Mikie Mahtook said that a lot of times in spring, these guys are working on their tendencies at the plate. In the spring before his junior year, he hit less than .200 bc he was working on getting better at going deeper into counts and laying off/hitting the breaking ball. And then he hit .383 and was an all-American.

This is what happens in the minors, too, but the problem is the fans really don’t know when the poor performance is due to working on their game, or the player is genuinely struggling.
I remember first hearing about this with Lance McCullers when he was in advanced A and the Astros had him throwing his changeup a ton all year even tho it was his worst pitch. His fastball/curve were already MLB level, but they cared less about just striking people out and more about just developing him.

I’ve been looking for trends in lsu offseason stats since i started posting them in 21’ & it’s just been really hard to grip anything outside of using them to confirm or deny preexisting biases on certain players

Those O #’rs are offensive up and down the lineup.
