Thinking about just getting up tomorrow and heading down and hanging out then coming back home to watch the game. I kinda feel like I want to see the pageantry.

Super Bowl AND the President is coming to town. Only time traffic could have been worse is after Katrina.

This sounds like a nightmare, which reinforces the fact that I’m old.

You might get lost in the fog.

Went tonight. Was awesome. If you can arrange transportation, it is worth it.

President will get to town right before the SB. All interstate traffic from Kenner to downtown will be shut down while Trump goes from MSY to downtown. Same in return trip.

Today was an absolute shite show with the traffic and crowds. I can’t imagine what tomorrow will look like. If you come down I’d plan to stay to watch the game.

Family took me down to the Hilton Riverside and Towers when i was a little kid, about 6 or 7 years old, to get autographs from the ‘85 Bears, including Jim McMahon and The Fridge…. Also just to soak up the atmosphere since it was the first SB i remember being hosted in NOLA .. and at the time, the Super Bowl Shuffle was my favorite song on the radio .
It was the first time in my life, while my parents were talking to some woman from up north- that i ever heard somebody say about my hometown “Well it’s a nice place to visit, but id never want to actually LIVE here”.. now as someone who fled NOLA years ago, i 100% get it .. still, i remember my parents being pissed since WE are allowed to say that, but YOU, outsider, are not…. I get that POV as well .

Today was incredible. Crowds less than Mardi gras, more than red dress run.

Everyone that going to game is mostly already there. Traffic won’t be bad at all.

I ended up making a late trip to the gym to lift after the games last night.
Have to work once I get up.
