Don't reroute, just don't spend it. We are broke and whatever we spend this on is borrowed money that we will be paying interest on.

This is the answer. None of this is being done to find better ways to spend money - it’s to cut unnecessary spending all together.

On one hand I know that not spending but rather paying down debt will save interest and is a great idea but I also believe that using to extract illegal aliens from the country will save multitudes of dollars in the long run.

I dont know if I am 100% in favor of this.
Better government efficiency is what most people wanted. That means doing more with less. All they are doing here is keeping the cash pot the same, just reallocating where it goes.
