Well according to Reddit and the MSM, the US economy is going to collapse, we will starve and the rest of the world will only be mildly inconvenienced. So probably never.

What would giving in look like in the short run?

Just announced Mexico is sending 10K troops to the border for border control after "good talk" with Trump.
Mexico also pausing tariffs on US products for 1 month.

Canada already has businesses planning on relocating to the US. Mexico is just painting themselves into a corner. The longer they attempt to play stupid, the harsher Trump will deal with them. I expect Trump to lay down some strong and measurable expectations for the Mexican government to deal with the cartels.

There is only 1 country that would hurt if we stopped trading with them.. but it would hurt that country as well.. and the name of that country isn't Mexico or Canada.
Therefore, they will bend the knee at some point. I have no idea how long that will take, but I would expect something to happen sooner than later..

It is already over. They folded faster than the French. The soy lattes over on the money board were in panic. Anybody with a brain cell knew Mex/Can couldn't get into a trade war with the US. Now onto the EU and more targeted tariffs against Chyna
