I’m genuinely torn on Musk’s role. It’s obvious he calls a lot of the shots, especially in regards to bureaucratic stuff. And this isn’t uncommon, President’s can’t have oversight over everything and it’s why the success of administration is largely dependent on who they surround themselves with.

However, is Musk the right guy to be dramatically reshaping the federal government? Many of the moves are the same he did upon taking over Twitter.

However, Twitter has decreased in value by 84% since he took over.

Shouldn’t Trump consider someone else calling the shots? I don’t disagree with a reshaping of the federal government but rather who is doing it.

Trump stated well before the election he was gonna do this and Americans voted him in. I’d say most approve of it. Everyone loved Elon until he bought Twitter and allowed free speech which pissed off white leftists

I see a Musk-concern psyop growing with the intent to derail saving the Republic.

He paid too much for X to start with.

If Musk ends up being too aggressive with cost cutting - that's better than the way things were before. You can always reinstate spending. Musk said if you don't re-add 10% of the things you cut, then you didn't make deep enough cuts. He was referring to parts on a car or robot, but the same principal applies. We owe tens of trillons in debt, we're either going to suffer some now, or a whole lot more later.

Yes and no. Many people thought the tariff thing was a negotiating tactic that wouldn’t actually be implemented. Kind of like making Mexico pay for the wall.

With that said, if it works, then alls well that ends well. However it is definitely a risk.

Did the value of Twitter decrease because Musk made it 84% worse or because it was a Dem propaganda tool that they all pulled support from once he took over?

Realistically Twitter is much better now than it was when it was being used as a Dem propaganda machine.

And that’s the concern right there. How long will the suffering last? If it’s shorten and results show before 2026 then it’s all good. However, by and large, the percentage of the electorate that decide elections vote with their pocketbooks and finances in mind. It would be bad for the midterms if the suffering is still ongoing. The average voter won’t think 5-10 years into the future.

Given the trajectory of the country for the last 2 decades, not doing it is a bigger risk.

Musk is helping Trump conduct a soft revolution and I support it fully. I didn’t think they’d actually go through with it to the extent they have, and I’m very pleasantly surprised to say the least.

Geez all of a sudden Musk is unfit for management. Fools will continue to be swayed by liars.

I trust Must as an advisor over all those other bureaucrats that have been around for decades.

That’s kind of the point…we think the most successful human being on the planet today may give us the best chance at survival and winning.

After the last 60 years how can it hurt? Lose 100s of billions a year. Fraud of entitlement programs is off he charts.

Dude knows how to handle money and run an organization. He gutted X and it runs just as well.

Has he done something in particular that concerns you?

Are you just uneasy with one or a handful of people having outsized influence?

If it's the second option, consider that this has always been the case... one or a few wielding power and influence in administrations. The only difference now is that it is being done in the open.

You mention that as if it were a consideration of his when he bought it. He has stated he doesn't put a price on free speech. That alone has made many enemies of free speech, concerned.

Youre being influenced and going soft already. Let Trump eat. That includes Elon.

It's only the beginning as Chicago once said. Sack up and enjoy the ride.
