Agreed 100 percent.

The option should be fire and shut down any ngo related to the church that is encouraging illegal behavior or face being non tax exempt.

I say this as someone that goes to mass every week. I always refuse to just hand over money to the church, I will put my money to special projects like a roof or whatever but not to a general fund that could go to support items I disagree with.

Tax exempt status for churches and non profits definitely needs to be revisited.

When a pastor promotes conservative politics the left throws a fit and says there are RULES... When a race baiter talks politics in a black church, nary a peep. Churches get hundreds of millions to support flooding the country with illegal immigrants and change voting demographics.. leftists start quoting bible verses.

If there are rules, enforce them. If there aren't rules, make some.
Or burn it down and do away with that status altogether.

Or make it even simpler and do away with taxes...

I would offer a homestead style exemption to protect small churches but the big, rich churches should absolutely be paying taxes.

Since DC is Federal Territory they should turn the Washington Cathedral into a detention facility.

Have said it before, the church is not your friend and never do they serve the interests of their parish

They take your donations to pay for their cover ups of wrongdoings and furnish their lavish lifestyles, you just don't see it

It’s a toss up as to whether I’m more upset with an apostate church for masquerading as a church of Christ and being involved in this criminal behavior, or the government for abandoning it’s duty to protect America from this invasion, even to a point of enabling it to take place.

OR leftists who hate America so much that they would stick it to their fellow Americans and themselves in the process by supporting such insanity.

So two things.

1. Little churches get no govt money and barely squeak by. The left would love if you crushed them.
2. Stop giving govt money to these dead mainline churches and woke catholic orgs. Stop giving money to any church.

Episcopalians are Anglicans. They're just as fricked up in England and in the center of the migration crisis in the UK.

I definitely agree with not giving churches federal funding, but I'm interested in what tax exemptions you think should be pulled form churches.

There is already a mechanism in place to remove tax exemptions from churches that involve themselves in "political activities," but if we start using that mechanism for things like this the left will start using that for actually-Biblical things like preachers teaching the truth about LGBTQP+, abortion, etc.

You cast a broad net. Why not address the real problem with the problem makers rather than toss all Churches into the same mold?

It does remind me of the leftist plot of perverting something bad enough that regular Americans destroy it.

Boy Scouts anyone?

Episcopalians had fully replaced Christ with secular progressivism about 20 years ago. If there are any current or former Episcopalians on the board, you know it's true.

The national governing body of the Episcopal Church should not only be made to repay the $53,000,000 to the Trump federal government, but they should also be charged with tens of thousands (if not millions) of blatant violations of 8 U.S.C. § 1324.

I don't believe it's time to pull tax exemptions from ALL churches, because there are still plenty of churches that do things right and stick to teaching The Word. But these churches that take government money to break the law by taking advantage of protected legal status, should be held accountable at the highest levels.

That's a poor idea. Most churches operates at break even at best so this is a moot point. If they do show a profit, it's because they are using fund accounting to save for future projects.

A better idea is they have to pay taxes on any federal grants they receive.

I think it would be reasonable to inform these NGOs that they’re going to be investigated for racketeering unless they’re mission changes to relocating the migrants back to their home countries. There has to be consequences for actively working to break US immigration laws.

Been saying it for years, especially as they build these beautiful buildings and facilities, including parsonages, jets, and limousines, while the people starve, are homeless and very immoral.

Why were they so unwilling to fight the toothless JOHNSON Amendment I will not ever understand.

The Vatican damn sure ain’t modest.

And the Pope is far too political to ignore. Then you have this mousy authoritarian woman abusing her position at the alter. Enough.

I want to see some punitive and corrective actions against the offenders.
Protect those churches that aren’t in violation, but the offending churches deserve no quarter. This has gone on long enough.

The Vatican specifically needs to be audited and every stone turned.
