Bucks have “heavy interest” in Jose

If tweet fails to load, click here. Scoop B has inexplicably been very plugged in to the Pels in the past.
I know everyone would be sad about Jose but I’m not against moving anyone at this point.

I hope they have a heavy interest in sucking my balls too

When we lose BI, Jose and Herb will follow. The soft rebuild was always a fantasy.

They can have him for 3 1sts

We all love Jose, but if you can get anything of value for him you do it. I wouldn't just dump him, but if Milwaukee wants to throw a first at us (which I don't think they even have, so it all may be a moot point) then I'd do that. They don't really have much intriguing young talent. AJ Green is a nice young player, but the Pelicans are already invested in Hawkins. Though Green is a better player

I mean if we can get (2) 2nds for Jose, (2) for JG, and (2) for CJ that would be huge.

Jose isn't worth a first, and he shouldn't be traded for anything less than a star deal (with other pieces of course)
He's the perfect player for a small franchise like new orleans. He's good, not great, loves the city, and due to certain limitations can be kept cheap and be useful in a rebuild or a team trying to compete.
Getting rid of him for fake 2nds or a low first round pick is fricking retarded.

The soft rebuild was done regardless. That died out when they decided to not trade BI for the #2 pick

Thinking Jose is worth more than (2) 2nds or a late 1st is crazy.
Thinking he's worth anything to the future of this team while the top 7 players above him are failing is also crazy.
The ole "BI isn't worth a 2nd but how dare we trade Jose for a late 1st"
To clarify I agree that Jose is a great deal sweetener and is best used to get a player we want back.

Yeah we aren’t getting a first for Jose. He’s worth 2-3 seconds

Jose may get played off the floor in the playoffs, but he's very useful in the regular season and you have Boston to take more minutes during the playoffs. It feels like we are pretty set at PG so I agree, trading him for 2nds seems less valuable than keeping him.

Or we have Boston/ Reeves and sign a Vet min PG that would have just as big of impact in the grand scheme of things.
And we get 2nds.
And the kicker is that it still won't matter because Jose fricking Alvarado isn't the difference maker in us winning a championship regardless of personal opinions of him.
I love Jose

What’s the point of trading him?
He’s cheap, a winner, a fan favorite, he plays great with Zion.
Seconds? So we can maybe get lucky and find the next Jose?
Makes zero sense.

All has been said, but he’s not bringing a first and I’m not trading him for seconds.
Where it could make sense is within a much bigger deal for BI. If we’re getting the desired result in a BI deal but they demand Jose, then I may consider.

It's not about draft capital, it's how he should leave the team.
What the frick value does a low first round pick or 2 2nds bring that jose already provides?
You just want to try to keep finding needles in a haystack?

I've already stated that he's valuable as a player on a rebuilding team and a contending team. He's far too versatile to go out for anything less than a star player as a fill in talent player in the deal.

Not a very big mountain to climb replacing a player averaging 8/2/3..... y'all have lost your collective minds.
Jose makes 4.5mil
We could replace him with a vet PG and a 2nd while saving 1-1.5mil and lose absolutely nothing

Probably a 50% of being better? Holy shite Jose isn't that special.

He's not a needle in a haystack. Those are usually reserved for difference makers. The 7th-8th worst player on a losing team that wants to trade its top 3 best players is not some cherished assets.

Agree. Seems 2nd round picks are not worth as much as Jose is. Maybe as the deal closer on a franchise changing mega deal.
