Got through four episodes of Lioness, season 1.

Does it get better? I am a little bored with the home-life daughter drama parts. Overall, it feels like nothing more than a typical CBS primetime drama except with some f-words and star-casting mixed in.

Yes it gets better, and season 2 is awesome. Ridiculous, but awesome.

Season 2 is badass. Season 1 has a lot of eye rolling moments but decent enough.

Sheridan did so well with the "bad arse broad" in Sicario, she got her arse kicked twice* by dudes, only to swing to having these annoying boss bitches in everything else.
*Three times if you count getting a couple shots to her body armor from Gillick.

We’re a few episodes into S1 and at least he did try to sell it with the character living a hard life, being a track athlete and exceeding the PT standards. That said, I have a hard time believing that skinny broad could be remotely dangerous….other than being just mean and tenacious.

I didn't like season 2 much, the new lioness chick sucks. She's a horrible pick for it, they should have and would have seen her past as an issue way sooner, and she does nothing but whine and cry and fail after acting tough in her first scene. Then the whole concept of getting what they want out of the situation/deal - they don't. Nothing changed. I know that's the point, that it just sucks and the CIA is worthless, but I didn't enjoy seeing it play out. The stupid side mission near the end didn't make much sense either other than 2 specific deaths. There's no way that one stupid mission was changing how China engages. And I'm with her husband, she was a complete idiot to go back out there.

Lioness is good, but you will enjoy it SO much more if you will just fast forward any and every scene involving Jo and her family. Trust me.

Season 1 is mainly focused on one thing, while season 2 has a few things going on at the same time. Between the two, I like season 2 a lot more.
