It will hold if they’re in rut. Has nothing to do with temperature

Bruh tuthill’s deer have developed the ability to sacrifice their own when they know they’re in a scope, you think they can’t delay their rut based on temp?

I wish more people knew the definition of rut.

Daylight activity is affected by temps, rut timing is not.

When hunters think they see deer in food plots or at feeders more than previous weeks. See also: Solunar calendar, weather fronts.

You will have to do some conversions because deer actually use the Kelvin scale for their temperature readings.
But it is fact that deer in sw Alabama do not breed if it’s over 70 degrees. The doe will come out of estrous the minute that thermometer hits 70
That number is 71 for Mississippi and 73 for most of Louisiana
I saw a buck chase a doe into a plot once and he was about to breed her but then he turned and walked away. Temp in my box stand was 69 but the sun had popped out and warmed that field pretty good so she went out of estrous

They were in rut in Choctaw Co as of last Saturday. My son dropped an 8pt on the 17th. His 1st rack buck…dude was pumped.

I hunt just north of Demopolis and saw a first ever. Watched a buck mount a doe. He didn't get to finish because she was playing hard to get, but was cool to see it in the wild.

I’ve been watching them on camera but unfortunately won’t get out there to make a hunt this year. Rut Activity is definitely happening in Dale Co.

Congrats to your son.
Alabama deer are all now Pennsylvania, Ohio, Iowa etc deer because the native heard was basically wiped out in the 1950s so they had to transplant the Yankee deer here and as a result, they are in fact very susceptible to Indian Summer’s fricking up the rut.

Did you know that deer in far south Florida rut in August? Don’t worry. Your Bama bucks are breeding.
