Happy belated 79th birthday(Sunday) to the Queen, Dolly Parton....

She is truly the closest thing we have to a saint in this realm, her philanthropic efforts have no peer. What she has done for her fellow residents of Appalachia is truly the stuff of saints. And she is also arguably the greatest living female songwriter, as well as the living Queen of Country Music.

I’m young enough to have always viewed Dolly as an elderly mom figure. Maybe because I used to get kids books in school from her.
