Among other things, I’m thrilled about the return of the incandescent light bulb

Thanks to Trump for lifting the ban. I can’t stand led bulbs.

I like both, but I didn't like the government deciding for us what we should and shouldn't buy

I actually like the LED lightbulbs. They stay cooler and they save you money in the long run and they’re brighter than incandescent bulbs

They did, until they became the only choice.

When I first heard of the ban I purchased 4/5 cases of in. Bulbs. I have more than enough for my lifetime.

Ehhh, this one is silly.

You can get long lasting (granted, not nearly as long as advertised) bulbs with the same shade of white for basically the same price that are 5-7 times more efficient (or 5-7 times brighter with the same wattage) and they do not heat up a room.

But, this is America, so you can make you own choice on the matter.

Stop buying the cheapest bulbs available, and make sure they're fit for use in the enclosure you're installing them in. 5,500 sq foot house, I replaced all the bulbs with LEDs. Over 7 years, I replaced fewer than ten (out of close to 100, in fans, cans, hollywood lights, etc,) and those were the oldest old school Cree bulbs left over from the house before that.

I've never had to replace an LED bulb in my house yet. Had them for years.

Yours not lasting long?

I am curious about your answer to this. I have yet to have to replace a LED bulb. I replaced all our bulbs in maintenance shop, airplane hangar, offices, and in my home. I expected a savings, but was surprised by how much it was.

I have a five bulb panel in my bathroom. Right in the middle is a big, clear incandescent bulb that was there when I moved into the house. In those 3+ years, I’ve replaced the LED bulbs around it at least once each, twice with a couple. Incandescent is still going strong.

I had the kitchen and bathroom redone. All lights in there had the led bulbs.

They didn't last a year. No savings on that shite.

meanwhile my little candelabra non led bulbs that are in the ceiling fans in the bedrooms have been going strong for 3 years now.

Now im not saying they dont make good led bulbs, im saying they also make shite ones.
