I now you're not supppsed to but in 44 years I've never seen this. Plus what's the sense of having one of the most capable 4x4s if you don't get to use it when you need it.
. Anyway. A 9 mile drive took an hour. A few cars but keeping very slow. Wasn't bad when driving in other cars tracks. Was sketchy when driving in powder. Shocked so much was actually open.

I couldn't pass the oppoirtunity to go sledding with my god daughter. I think tomorrow it'll be worse as we well start seeing black ice.

No but I walked around the neighborhood. Not worth getting in a accident with shitty drivers on the road

This. I don't care how good you are at driving on ice and snow or what vehicle you drive, it just takes one idiot to slide through a stop sign into your car because it's his first time driving in winter conditions.

I'll never see this again i have insurance. People are staying apart. No one driving fast enough to run anything. I was gong slow enough that letting off the gas was all i needed to coast to a stop.
I wish i still had a quad. I couldn't get the dirt bike to ride through the powder and it was tough on the road tracks

I drove all over - no problems - slow and don’t use brake much.

I drove Tuesday morning. I was required to be at work. No real issues getting to work from home.

Yesterday evening was a different story. Slid a couple of times. Thankfully, not many were on the road.

Today, I am a supposed to go to work, however my driveway and I am sure the streets as well are completely iced over. I nearly busted my arse taking my dogs out this morning. I don’t believe it is reasonably safe today to be out on the roads.

No. I hope to remain sheltered in place until Friday but I’m sure my employer will ruin that.

Getting ready to try and get to the hospital for work. Fortunately it’s only 2 miles from my house. Gonna take my time for sure.

Unless going to work or dealing with an emergency, why drive? Where you going? Ain’t a goddamn thing open. People are retarded on a good day, no way I’m getting on a road with them after 10” of snow.

On my drive into work yesterday (and on the way home), I saw a few gas stations open, and Waffle House.

Waffle House had about 5 or 6 vehicles in their parking lot.

I drove to work during the 2021 snowstorm in Monroe. It was fresh piles of snow and I was almost the only car out there so there was basically no road. It was awesome.

You're 4 wheel drive truck will slide into the ditch just as easy on ice as that 2 wheel drive car.

Yesterday wasn't as big of a deal to drive. There was no ice. Everythign is ice this morning. It would be stupid to get out on the road today.

i drove out to the farm approximately a 20mile round trip. The powdered snow was much easier to drive on because of the additional traction. The more icy and less traveled roads were sketchy as hell. Slid a few times but got the hang of it. Drove all the way home in 4wheel drive going 30mph....much better drive home.

BTW horses, cows, chickens, and cats all did exceptionally well through the snow storm.
