I have no qualms with renaming the GoM to GoA, but who do you make that claim towards? How would one make it official?

Same way you rename a river, mountain or even a military base or street.

People are still going to call it the GoM.

Changing the name is just a troll.

First you have to start as a body of water. Then you remain as one.

Had to.

It’s really away to circumvent dodo Joe’s executive orders.

First you have to be a body of water before you can remain a body of water.

Make sure nobody cuts off the inflow like what happened with the Aral Sea.

As POSTUS you declare it, then all the agencies start using the name and the public follows. Easy, really.

I’m gonna chalk that up to a autocorrect error.

That isn't how it works, unless the thought is that every bit of regulation or law involving the GoM is somehow made void by a name change.

Didn't Russia use to be called by another name? Regardless, I took my inheritance and invested in globes and maps that still show the Gulf of Mexico. I do not think I have cornered the market yet.

Get ya one!!

Trump should show up to the UN and declare it to be so.

I think buying a map with Gulf of America on it would be more profitable. As soon as a Democrat gets back in office they will probably change it back.

There is a theory that its a legal move to bypass oil and gas restrictions on the Gulf of Mexico. Think there is any truth to that?
