I just heard this on a radio show so I looked it up, this came out last June so not exactly breaking news, but it was first I heard of it.
46% buyers remorse is crazy.
It's insane.

Would imagine 90% of owners of Stellantis brand vehicles would switch to anything else.

The other 54% are lying.

Ton of people bought vehicles for use cases those vehicles aren’t designed for. Considering how terrible the public charging network is, I’m somewhat surprised it’s not higher. But regardless, these stats are more of an indictment of the average person than it is of EVs themselves.

Takes 5 min to fill up. Why the hell should we drive ev if it is not necessarily better for the environment?

If our country invested more in Nuclear, then EV's powered by that nuke fuel would actually help the environment, theoretically. That's if you believe humans are affecting the climate in the first place.

I’m perfectly happy with mine.

54%, according to the survey, are.
But 46% unhappy is a surprisingly large number. That's the story here.
But your virtue signal is noted.

A lot of people bought for idealistic reasons other than practical ones. They thought they were going to be part of some technological revolution that hasnt come to fruition

I am willing to try the hybrid which is both but apparently they don’t want to make those anymore

Buying a commuter car I can charge for free and never have to pay for gas or engine maintenance is virtue signaling?

They are cool for driving around town if you have another car for any distance. Or if you are one of these people that lives ins uburbia and only ever flys on trips.
My question are
1) how did people who live in like apartments in say Philly charge a car they park on the street.
2) how will we get past the point that they depreciate like a dropping rock. A mechanic can work on a 1995 Toyota in your driveway. These Electric cars are going to become basically disposable.

My inlaws have a Tesla and I remember they got a year or two of free charging from Tesla-owned charging stations, or something like that. Other than that promotional offer, how are you charging for free?

One problem with electric cars is they’re like phones…. The next one out is always better. The technology moves too fast so buyers have remorse within a few months of the purchases
Gas cars from the 60’s are just as good (or better) as than gas cars built today

Free chargers at work and an overnight charging rate through the power company if I ever need to charge from home.

If you live in a metro area and have a second gas vehicle for emergency situations, it can make sense.

That electricity may be free to you but someone is paying for it which makes you a freeloader. Congrats.

I see you’re unfamiliar with employment perks.
