How does actually winning an LSU MBB game end up pissing people off?

There was less traction and discussion when we were 0-3.

We actually win a game tonight and seems like the last thing people care about is actually winning a fricking game.

I'll be quiet, I just don't understand.

I can want to win and also think CoachMc isn't the answer. But I still want to win.

Wanting to win is not wrong my friends.

frick that it was so much fun to see us get a W. Played tough, made FTs down the stretch, defended the rim like superstars. Good win

Does it matter?
Sports are entertainment. If your coach and team aren’t entertaining people by having a good product that’s their problem.

That’s the epitome of today’s LSU fan bro. I realize many of the posters on this board aren’t really LSU fans at all but there’s still a ton of those that are and they just can’t be happy unless we win and win a certain way. Championships have ruined this fan base.

Great win tonight!!

I think most are happy LSU won. There's just concern that McMahon may do just well enough, although still abysmal, for Woodward to not pull the trigger in firing him after this year. Which will just prolong the mediocrity instead of ripping the bandaid off and making a much needed change.

The horror. LSUS might not fire the coach this year.

For one people don’t like the “I told you so” crowd that comes out after beating our only contender for last place.

I would hope any sensible person is indifferent and understands we aren’t any less cooked

you and mmcgrath need to go back to bed. Especially you. It’s embarrassing how pathetic you are. I can’t wait for you to downvote this in .5 seconds. I’m gonna get Dick Vitale on the call for this one

I'm elated we won. However, I can take a look at the bigger picture and realize this Arkansas team is not good and that we have a long road in front of us.

It was a rough start when the PA announcer screwed up the starting lineup intro.

Things got worse during the first media time out. A FT contest was held and someone forgot to count how many shots one of the contestants made…thus leading to them just guessing a winner.

However, everyone started to settle down a bit after that. The ultimate turning point of the game was when the event workers dropped 50+ hot dogs tied to little parachutes from the rafters for the hungry crowd. That gave the 5k or so in attendance the extra boost to finish in the end

That was so awkward. Reminded me of when the PA guy called Justice Williams Juice Williams

But you realize that Arkansas has NBA athletes on that roster and we just physically beat them right? We didn’t shoot the lights out, we beat them in the paint and at the rim so I don’t wanna hear the “muh no talent” nonsense anymore.

Who knows? Maybe one day we will look back on that as the basketball equivalent of the Normandy invasion. No one was expecting it…then suddenly dozens of hot dogs started falling from the sky
