Looking for suggestions on places to eat in DC. What you got?

Old Ebbitt Grill still comes across as a power broker's great booze and food place even though now it's part of a restaurant holding company. In early spring a featured dish is grilled shad roe... time you visit accordingly.

1789 in Georgetown was a nice, romantic place to eat. It’s been a few years since I’ve been. It’s in an old house from what I remember in a residential type area. Had a neat bar below it I think.
