Here's to you - Andrew Hatch. You were a stand-up guy who played his heart out to the best of his ability. That's all we can ask for as fans. I'm sure you'll be successful in whatever your future holds.

Seriously, people talking smack about Hatch?

As for the transfer....why can't they allow students to live off-campus at Harvard?

We get the Ivy league games here in NYC and I am fairly certain that Hatch is going to be the Vince Young / Tim Tebow of their league - Ivy League schools are no different when it comes to "finding a way" to open doors for athletes.

Does this cement that JL won't leave? If he transfers, then Shep may very well be playing as a freshman. Knock on wood.

That would leave us with JJ, RS, CG and McCartney.

Who in their right mind would want Lee to transfer......heaven forbid JJ doesn't light the world on fire then fans like you would have him yanked from qb and then who would we play at qb.....please spare me the Shepard crap he needs at least a year to learn how to pass in the SEC

EDIT got caught up with that.........Good luck to you Hatch I'm sure Harvard will find a way to get you in there and you'll light it up for them and get one of if not the best college educations in the country. We salute you for all your hard work as a Tiger GEAUX HATCH

A healthy Hatch last season and LSU competes for an SEC Championship.

Good luck, sir. And thank you.

Andrew Hatch

I liked the guy. He may not have had a rocket-arm - but it seemed the playcalling was adjusted to his strengths.

I hope his injuries were not so severe that he would be unable to play football at Harvard if he wanted to.

He was/is a class act, and if there's still more football in him - he deserves the opportunity to see the field again in the Ivy League.

Hatch might have to translate what BCS stands for at Harvard. Thanks for the contribution you have given to the tigers. I know the heat in the summer time for pratice and games was not like at Harvard. You my friend are the best. Good luck. You will be a leader in life.

after Hatch decided he could just tip-toe into the heart of the Auburn defense and got his cranium cracked, that was probably the point of realization for him that being a QB in SEC was a fantasy and not a calling

Harvard is his calling. good luck to him.

Best of luck Hatch. Thanks for your play for LSU. You did good, before you got hurt. You will come out on top. Hatch was a good kid never, caused problems. I personally will miss him. I can only wish him the best.

I sure as hell hope he doesn't leave. The last thing we need is to throw another inexperienced freshman QB to the SEC wolves before he's ready. RS needs a year to learn the system.

Good luck Hatch and thanks for your efforts in such a trying season! How many people can say they have a Harvard degree and played a solid role on the defending National Championship team?

Thanks!

I'm not so sure about that...

But good luck to Hatch anyway. I can certainly see him being effective against the Ivy League competition. Don't think he was quite SEC caliber though.

I'll be surprised if he CAN transfer back to Harvard. Under any circumstances, that is VERY rare. The Ivy league doesn't have athletic scholarships, but a few jocks seem to get admitted each year AS FRESHMEN. I would be willing to bet there are fewer than half a dozen undergrad transfers a yr. there. Best of luck to him wherever he goes.If only RJF had given it the effort Hatch did!

Harvard may not consider him a transfer since he was already accepted there and enrolled.

Could be he came here because Crowton recruited him hard knowing that RP was very likely not to be at LSU long. That may be how he sold it to Hatch. Kind of like an emergency back up plan. In that role I think he was a very good pickup. Thanks to him and good luck in his future endeavours.
