What LSU MBB needs to do

I think it is time to go to a youth movement. Carter and Sears are warming up in the 1st half when we need them to GO.
Start CG3 and Vyctorius Miller and let them establish the game plan with Bailey, Collins, and Chest.
CG3 is starting to show some aggression on the offensive side.
Sears and Cartee have one more game to prove their value, otherwise bench them.

What LSU MBB needs to really do is tell Woodward to stop being so damn cheap with the basketball hires and go out and hire a freaking top notch HC for once in basketball. Auburn and Alabama did it. So can LSU.

what they need to do is wait. if MM makes the tournament, then relax. if he doesn't, then offer wade a record contract and an apology

There’s a gameplan?

Start CG3
he should be playing 0 minutes a game. he is not ready and no where near as good as mike williams was last year. not to mention mike was a 3* and curtis was a 4*
mike williams vs curtis givens through first 14 games of freshman season:
MW3: 7.3pts, 1.8ast, 1.9reb, 37.8%fg, 31.9%3pt
CG3: 4.3pts,1.7reb, 1.7ast, 27.1%fg, 23.9%3pt
but yet curtis needs to start?? do you see something i dont see?
this is doubly impressive when you consider mike was playing out of position and forced to play starting PG despite being more comfortable as a two guard. we didn't see this until later in the year when hannibal began running the point.

LSU athletics generates a little over $200m per year, the highest ever, under Woodward. However, they spend about 95% on the athletics program. Football generated about a $50m surplus (before revenue share hits) with about $105m in revenue and about $55m in expense.
I wonder if the return on a $6-9m men’s basketball coach is worth it? That’s the market now for top MBB salaries. LSU doesn’t generate the revenue to support that type of salary and I don’t think LSU has the basketball facilities yet to compete with top BBall programs.
For comparison, Mulkey and Johnson combined make $5m per year. And as much as people complain about Kelly, he’s #8 in Football at his $9.8m.

MBB turns a profit yearly bc of the tv deal for March Madness and the shared revenue... even if we aren't the best program.
I think this kind of incentives Woodward to put MBB on the backburner

Isn’t that sort of backwards thinking? If you invested in the 2nd most revenue generating thing and made that better, your return would be better? I think at last calculation each tournament win is worth $2million paid over 5 years. So if you start stacking tournament wins and make it to the sweet 16 at least 3 years in a row, that’s $12 million extra.

The money is handed out to the conference and distributed from there. Teams don't get more money the deeper they go. Money goes to the conferences in "units" based on total wins and is handed out equally.

Sure, but the better the conference is , the more teams in the tournament, the more tournament wins, equals more overall money

The absence of Jalen Reed has impacted this team in a big way

Correct but it's a matter of return. It's quite clear admin is content with making profit without wanting to invest too deeply into MBB.

there is a big piece missing but it's not Carter

If Willl Wade lost his big man at McNeese they would be an averse team. He is a beast and their best player. Those who think losing Reed hasn’t made a difference in this team are idiots. Doesn’t forgive the TO which need to be addressed but not having Reed has factored into all 3 losses.

Release McMahon from his contract and hire a better more proven winner that can win at a championship level.
