What channel did these come on? I've seen posts about them, but I only remember Night Flight.

I remember it well. I think I last remember watching it in like 1989. Seems like TBS had something similar called Night Tracks or something like that.

I vividly remember this. This came on NBC after Carson and Letterman back in the 80s. As a kid that lived in rural Louisiana I used to make myself stay awake on Friday nights so I could record music videos to a VCR tape. It was the only way to watch/rewatch music videos. If I recall correctly, then went on to move it from Friday night to Saturday mornings on NBC around the same time as Saved by the Bell.

I hear Friday Night Videos I think of El DeBarge “Rhythm of the Night”.

I seem to recall it being on NBC right after Miami Vice concluded. (Yes, I readily admit I stayed home on Friday nights when I was in high school to watch Miami Vice)

Maybe I’m remembering it wrong, but in New Orleans, FNV was followed by a local show hosted by Barry “The Reazar” Richards from WAIL 105.3.

MTV: MTV
NBC: Friday Night Videos
TBS: Night Tracks
USA: Night Flight
Night flight wasn't reallly a video show, although they had videos. It was skits, weird movies, etc. geared to a stoned audience.

If I remember right, it came on NBC.

that got me thinking, I was born in 79 and one of my first memories was staying up late on Friday nights to watch Night Flight when I was 5. I remember the first video that caught my attention was Twisted Sister "we're not gonna take it" which was the MTV video that later aired that's on youtube now. as a 5 year old I was in love with it and wanted to see it again but didn't know how, watched every Friday and never saw it again. I had a friend that brought over Pee Wee's Big adventure and I thought that was cool as hell too at 5.
