What do you do if you're the Cincinnati GM/Owner?

Your problem is defense and OL so you need to be heavily invested.
HOWEVER...
Chase needs an extension tonight. It's retarded as frick he doesn't have one yet. And Higgins my word he was absolutely amazing. He and Chase are an obvious great 1-2, but I doubt they'll re-sign him with having to pay Chase AND rebuild on some of their weaknesses.
Not really sure what is best case for them. What would yall do?
One thing I would so for sure though is fire Zac Taylor tonight God he sucks.

Tonight is the 2nd time this season Higgins has broken 90 yards. Might want to slow the roll on the extension

Chase is basically the most important player on offense. He is the must keep.

The Bengal's owner is well known to be one of the cheapest owners in the League. For years they had the smallest number of scouts in the League & it wasn't even close. Only after Burrow's second year did he build an indoor practice facility, in one of the coldest cities in the League. And it's far from elite. Many free agents bailed out of the team as soon as their contracts allowed, a big reason their records were so bad pre Burrow. Must be something in the water, as the Red's owner was historically cheap as well. She used to walk around the office after hrs turning off all the computers.

Bengals have one of the highest caps in the entire nfl, aka spending the most money
Being cheap has nothing to do with payroll

Bengals owners campaigned for years to cut down training camp numbers.

He isn’t cheap with actual player payroll….This isn’t confusing
His “cheapness” has nothing to do with them not signing players.
The bengals have one of the top paid QBs, the best wr in the nfl, the nfl sack leader, another top 20 wr, etc
From a big player standpoint they are loaded.

Like the Raiders, the Bengals don't have a corporation behind them. The Bengals are the family business.

Chase is still playing on his rookie contract, and they've franchised Higgins. Mike Brown has been one of the tightest owners in the league. Been like that for years.

You obviously have no idea how guaranteed contracts work or why they matter to quality free agents, but being ignorant has never stopped you from looking like a fool before so I’m not surprised by this post.

Why do you talk about things you have limited to no understanding of?

They haven’t extended the top WR in the league yet.
Hendrickson has already demanded a trade because he’s underpaid and they won’t extend him with guaranteed money.
Tee Higgins wants a long term deal and they haven’t given it to him. Outside of Chase taking a discount, they probably won’t ever be able to get it done, and it’s not because of the salary cap. It’s because of how players want contracts structured.
They failed to resign an all-pro safety because they didn’t want to pay him.
Carson Palmer forced his way out.
Andrew Whitworth.
Every NFL team that’s serious about winning uses void years to spread out future dead money, but the Bengals won’t do it because they hate dead money and don’t want to put cash in escrow for guaranteed money.
The lack of funding for facilities, scouting, etc is well documented.
This isn’t complicated or confusing.
