And these guys are Top 5 locks. Why are our bubble 1st rounders “opting out”? It makes no sense to me.

It’s called massive insurance policy

The smart ones opt out?

I used to care but now I don’t get why anyone cares about this. It’s EXTREMELY valuable development time for the guys who are going to be playing next year. I almost would rather the guys opt out at this point….

Those aren’t anything new. I’m sure Gordon or Bayou Collective could’ve given players bonuses to play. I also like the opportunity to get others pt going in to next season.

References two guys then proceeds to say only LSU has a problem. Hmmm

I wonder his thoughts on if Jayden Daniels would’ve played last season vs letting Nuss get reps in the bowl game.

There was a whole announcement around the insurance package they put in place for their key players to play

TrouserTrout said he has a big problem with guys like Jayden opting out but no big deal on Will Campbell

Didn’t I see a ESPN notification this week saying Colorado has a record high Insurance Policy on Hunter?

Its even more Bull for a linemen to do it.
I just dont care enough to complain about any of it anymore.

That’s a complete waste of funds. You shouldn’t ever beg anyone to play for you in a bowl game that doesn’t matter in the grand scheme of things. Allocate those funds for the future of the program.

I agree. It shouldn’t matter if your draft eligible player opts in or out of a meaningless bowl game. If the optics best serve Colorado that everyone is playing, good for them.

LSU culture is to opt out

Especially the fan culture.

Travis Hunter has already earned like $5 million in NIL in college. Even if the worse case scenario happens and he suffers a career ending injury, he is still set for life financially.
The same can’t be said for all of these guys who are opting out

Could be part of their NIL contract
Posted on 12/28/24 at 4:11 pm to deathvalleyfreak43
In Hunters case he does whatever Prime tells him to do No ? Asked.

It could be part of their NIL deal that they are contractually required to play, but not sure.
