2-0 vs BK

Not scoring in the red zone.

Because we didn't prepare for a running QB.

and we had more than one.

We lost to Sunbelt Blly, first year Debose and first year Elko as well.
All these recent Portal Additions are a last gasp panic attempt by BK to save his job.
I do not think he will make it here long term. (Not even past next season if we don't make the CFP)
Just too to many questionable hiring decisions.
* Didn't retain Blake Baker
* Hired Matt House
* Didn't retain Oneofus Raymond
* Hired Robert Steeples (Right out of HS) and Kerry Cooks
* Didn't retain Greg McMahon
* Hired Brain Polian
* Didn't hire a competent DL Coach to replace Lindsey
* Lost Denbrock and replaced him with Joe "In over his head as OC" Joe Sloan.
* Retained Orgeron hired Brad Davis instead of bringing in an experienced OL Guru.
* Initiated the destruction of the Iconic LSU Brand with this totally nonsensical "Leadership Council selecting the Uniforms " BS with more "Alternate Uniforms" worm during the season than the iconic Gold Helmet-White Jersey-Gold Pants uniform. Comes out with a statement that he "Doesn't care about Uniforms."

His name is Brian Kelly
His Marshmallow disciples now wear the mark of the white helmets.
And he owes me fricking money from Vegas

How in the hell did we lose to both of these teams!?!?!?

Me too! My wife and teens and I invested a hell of a lot of time and money in that trip.

We lose game 1 every year.

That night their QB sold his soul to the devil. How many times did he have a pass rush and getting hit, and throwing a 50/50 ball that his WR came away with?
RedZone play calling was bad. Nuss made bad throws. New offense did not gel.
Who cares? Not like LSU lost to Vandy or Oklahoma.

Damn this whole thread perfectly encapsulates how stupid LSU fans really are. I bet not one person could name how different these bowl teams are compared to in season.
Just to break down each specific game so even a moron could understand how we lost each.
USC
- Caden Durham didn't play, lost the only effective RB that game halfway through it.
- Zy Alexander didn't play. One of the best corners in the country was still getting back to 100%
- Whit Weeks barely played at all. Baker's first game at LSU, feeling out his team.
TAMU
- simply put, was not prepared for Reed enough. This was plainly obvious.
- Nuss decided to completely tank a game we were winning. Two rurnovers literally in the opponents redzone.
- safeties were trash all year. This was the worst problem we had all year, and it tops run blocking by a big margin.
- special teams decided to phone it in that day.
While i personally think the USC game is understandable (the OL in pracrice was opening up holes for Jackson and Williams all practice long, and Riley "usually" runs a great offense), the TAMU game was inexcusable by coaches and players. Coaches not preparing for Reed and players playing as bad as they possibly could in the second half of that game was inexcusable.
I remember LSU players being embarrassed about that 2018 TAMU game, ripping them a new azzhole for 2019. Hoping for the same thing in 2025.
