For wasting the offense and talent while at LSU

We should let it go, but it is difficult, considering how good Jayden and Co. were on offense.

I'm sure this haunts Kelly too.

That fat bastard should never be forgiven for what he wasted last year. That offense was honestly as close as you’ll ever see to 2019 again and because our fat arse DC couldn’t be asked to recruit, ran off any decent position coach, and didn’t know how to adjust to his talent we lost 3 games despite having 3 all pro skill position players and two all conference tackles. The craziest thing is that defense now appears to have not been nearly as untalented as we thought. Multiple guys from last years defense are playing on Sundays now.

Still crazy that House first year wasn't bad by any means then it just fell off last year.

I would even argue that our defense was pretty good in 2022 outside of the A&M and Tennessee games. The Bama game that year was one of the best LSU defensive performances I’ve ever seen. It’s insane how last year House was even worse than 2020 Pelini.

ETA: Also I think shitty safety play has absolutely been our downfall the last two seasons. In 2022 Brooks, Foucha, and Ward held it down back there.

Yep. He missed his early shot like his predecessors. A competent D and they are in final 4.

Yeah we may still drop the FSU game but with a competent D we likely win every other game and make a serious run of it in the final 4 and likely win it all

I'm torn between not forgiving House or Wingo.

I mean, you may not like your coaches but you literally told your entire offense to go frick themselves, you don't give a shite... about them or a national championship.

More fuel to the Wingo-led insurrection theory. Players let their teammates down.

How was he so welcomed the first year then just complete garbage the next?
I think it’s time to acknowledge that sometimes we simply don’t have the guys to play on the field.

We’ll what Kelly does in 25. This is 100 % his team now. If they mis the playoffs he will be sucking ad air.

He gave up over 30ppg vs P5 teams his first year. He wasn’t very good we just had Perkins and Ojulari causing problems on 3rd down which counts for a lot.

I thought Wingo played well when healthy. He also didn't have a real DL coach all season. No DL coach, a HS coach for the CBs, a BK hold over for safeties that was never any good and House trying to keep it together with limited depth and talent.

Honestly, in hindsight, it should have been seen how much trouble was ahead for the D.

One stop against OM and put a fricking spy (Perkins anyone?) on Milroe and we’re playing Michigan in January.

It’s probably more fault on the high school DB coaches and the terrible DL coach than House.
