Something that holds some sentimental value or something that just puts a smile on your face when you look at it.
My wife(no pics) and I have several Christmas items that we enjoy, including a 60 year old aluminum Christmas tree and several old glass ornaments, but two years ago we got something that I had been looking for for a very long time. Anyone who has seen Christmas vacation will recognize it as the advent house that is used to count down the days to Christmas. It is one of those things I hope gets passed on and displayed for Christmas’ to come.

An ornament that looks very similar to this. There is nothing remarkable about it other than it’s been on every Christmas tree I’ve had since I was a kid. And even then it was older than me. Not even sure how old it is. All I know is it’s one of the oldest things I have from my childhood. It’s kinda old looking so it goes on the back of the tree now.

A pickle ornament my daughter picked out at Dollar Tree about 10 years ago.

Yes, a clear ornament with a piece of my Dads camo in it, he was a hunting fanatic and when he passed, my sister took an old shirt that he wore all the time and made the ornament. Very nice!

Me and the wife will always take one really big vocation a year. And on that vocation we buy an ornament to remember the trip. So we have really good ornaments to decorate the tree. But our number one is a glass ornament with a hand painted portrait of the university and building my wife department is hosted that she received her PhD from. Second a hand painted glass ornament of New York which was really our first big vocation was

My grandma gives $5 to the first person to spot the pickle ornament on the tree at her Christmas. I always take my kids earlier than anyone else so they can find it

Our favorite is the train stocking hangers - we bought it the Christmas after Hurricane Katrina. We really hadn’t bought anything that wasn’t essential in those months after. So it’s a nice reminder that it’s only gotten better.

nativity is special. Family spent 8 years in Saudi/Kuwait. The desert does get cold, damp and the wind blows. A stabile would be a nice place to spend the night

My kid found this for me last year at a tiny Hallmark shop in Dickson TN in the clearance bin. It's my new favorite

I have a bunch of ornaments that have sentimental value. Some kind of clay Grinch that a girl in college made for her friends and coworkers. Some hand blown glass ornaments that my wife and I made a few years ago. A cross stitched ornament with my wife’s name that my Mawmaw gave her the year we got married. A medal, one that has a pic of my uncle that died when I was a kid, a cast iron Vulcan I took off of a paper weight, one that my wife made that looks like one I brought home from a little hardware store 15 years ago and broke 10 years ago, a ribbon from the honey cake I bought in 2020, an Alabama Theater ornament, a starfish Santa I picked up at the redneck riviera this summer. I could go on.

My grandfather was a great woodworker and he crafted a stocking out of wood, like one you would hang from the mantle, painted it red, and inscribed our last name on it. Every year I stick it in the front yard

My leglamp in the front window. First thing that goes up every year

We have this stupid cactus with a Santa hat and scarf that dances to weird arse music and repeats back what you say
Kids get a kick out of it
