you are not judged a con or lib or mod or one issue.
its what you are on the majority of issues as l laid out in that link yesterday
he definitely was not a con across the board.
he allowed amnesty for border closure and got screwed by democrats.
he had to cut deals also for military spending so tip o'neill could get stuff he wanted.
he had tariffs also.

Reagan pushed for minimal government and a strong military. 2 pillars of conservatism. But, also less of a fiscal conservative.

Your'e ignorant. Congress outspent ever presidential budget request Reagan sent to congress. Every one. Reagan even veto'ed the appropriations bill at least once.

He won the Cold War by spending so much money on the military that the Soviets went bankrupt from trying to keep up.
He definitely wasn't fiscally conservative but most Republican politicians haven't been in a long time. The only difference between them and the Democrats when it comes to spending is that they don't agree on what they want to buy on credit.

Clearly, the yonger and uninformed posters on here weren't given adequate education about Ronald Reagan.
He was a former Democrat who saw his party lurching further and further to the Left. He was a product of his time. Not terribly unlike Donald Trump is today. Both saw a need to challenge the status quo, and had great success.
Be very thankful of these 2. Otherwise, the USA would be more like Canada and Mexico, but with nuclear weapons.
