-Nation wide meat shortage and would introduce a new meat to the public
-They would eat invasive plants
-Would thrive in Louisiana climates
-Louisiana passed the bill and went all the way to department of agriculture
-Was supported by Teddy Roosevelt
-Was abandoned after the breakout of WW1
