Still waiting for some Offensive lineman…

I know we’re not done in the portal but I was hoping for some good news on this front by now. All these WRs are gonna be worth anything if we can’t protect the QB and have a good run/pass balance.

They should get that C from VT. After that, if they don’t land anyone, it’s probably because they’re comfortable with what they have.

LG: Mubanga/Chester/Curne/Thomas

That’s some serious talent, size and athletic ability. The only thing they lack is playing time. However, Mubanga got a lot of PT and got better. Chester played an entire season but was out of position and Adams played a good bit. There is some experience, just might be out of place and need another offseason.

And a safety or two. If we can lock that down you have to feel this years portal would be a tremendous success.

Ok? These kids gotta play eventually csnt keep them on the bench forever. BK and the staff are high on the tackles we have right now I trust their evaluation since they’re at practice everyday over ours. If they were concerned about Adams/davis we would be linked to more tackles

If the staff believes they’re not ready we will go out there and get experience. If they don’t go out there and get experience tackles it means they think they’re ready. With how aggressive we’ve been in the portal I trust the staff’s evaluation

Running the ball was a huge concern this season with the OL the staff was comfortable with. I think it is reasonable to be concerned about a completely unproven line next year.

It’s almost like Miles is back recruiting OL. We have a ton of talented depth at IOL…we really need an experienced OT or two!

joe burrow once told me the best thing for a weak\iffy O line is a quick hitting, get rid of the ball quick, well timed efficient passing game. CEH agreed, but on his running game input.

The only game LSU punted better than the opponent was Nichols State. In most games, LSU would lose 8 to 12 yards per punt in an exchange of punts. Losing maybe the equivalent of 4 first downs a game simply due to punting differential has to be fixed. I expect it will be.

They are definitely going to bring in one tackle. You need a starter at left tackle.

Sorry but if Mubenga is our starting guard and Chester is our starting center, the pocket will be destroyed right in front of Nuss, just like it was this past year. Can they get better..of course, but the improvement they would have to make in one season for LSU to be a SEC contender is beyond reality.
We have to make a change at center so Chester can move to LG, and that new center has to be proven and strong.

We have some good Olinemen and there's not a lot of talented ones in the portal. Majority of them trying to get one last payday before eligibility runs out.
