Could a GOT spinoff about the Nightfort work?

Thread is probably for book readers.

That being said, I’m tired of dragon bullshite and Targaryens. They are just not interesting to me. North lore is infinity times more interesting in my mind.

A spinoff series about the Nightfort and all the tales of it could weave nicely with the stories of the North and the Starks as well.

Old Nan tales about the Nightfort include:

The Night’s King
Mad Axe
The Rat Cook
79 Sentinels
King Sherrit vs the Andals
War between the Nightfort and Snowgate

What say yall?

It could work in a variety of ways.

Id like to see it as a comedy sitcom

I wish they would stop making GOT shows entirely. House of the Dragon bored me to tears, we stopped watching.

Robert's Rebellion would be the best spinoff they could do. A lot of good stories in it.

I wouldn’t mind that either. But damn I’m sick of Targaryen storylines.

Only if they did it with all the characters being played by muppets

Pretty sure there's an old YouTube short with the premise floating around somewhere

I’m sure he could postpone finishing his story by being involved in this so why not.

I think we're seeing more of these because GRRM chose to expound on the Targs more than anyone else. There's more source material for Targ stories because of Fire and Blood and the novellas.

Less so in the North, and much less so elsewhere.

I'm going to watch The Knight of the Seven Kingdoms because I really like that story but hopefully that's the last spin off they do. This fat lazy bastard doesn't deserve anything else of his to be adapted. Plenty of other better fantasy writers out there with complete works that would make for better shows and movies than some Hollywood writers trying to fill in the blanks to some random lore that isn't even a complete story.

That dude deserves nothing but bad things to happen to him, much less give him another reason to sit back and collect checks from crappy spinoffs.

None of them are worth watching because we all know how this turns out in the end, "Who has a better story than Bran?"

Lame.

The spinoffs are based off the books, not the HBO show.

Very good chance Bran does have the best story in the books, after all, he is the main POV from the very first chapter of the very first book

I would like a spinoff on Brynden Rivers, the stuff he did as hand of the king, putting down the two rebellions. His life before became a tree and interacts with Bran.

I wouldve liked to see Daemon Blackfyre and the first Blackfyre rebellion, so I'd be with you on a Brynden Rivers spinoff. That final scene could be great.
