I don't understand the attachment to Israel?

Specifically from the Republican Party, certain factions of the Right, and certains factions of Christianity. But also on the left and in the Democrat Party as well.
I am not anti-Israel, it seems like I should prefer Israel over another backwards shithole arab/Muslim state in this geographic area. As an American Christian, culturally I am probably closer to European Jews than Arab Muslims, all things considered. But no one has explained why the Political State of Israel is America's greatest ally and what is so important about Israel to my day to day life.
By all means, if Israel wants to fight for their country and territory, and wants to prevent terrorists attacks, I don't see an issue with it. But there seems to be an unnatural obsession with Israel that doesn't make alot of sense.

They tricked our gullible Christian ancestors into believing that they were the "Israel" that God favours by using several devious schemes, including chosing to name their new homeland "Israel".

Because there are a lot of people in the greatest generation that feel bad their generation did not act sooner to stop the holocaust. That laid a foundation for foreign policy that we deal with today.

$$$$
AIPAC buys off all of congress. The ones they can't buy get blackmailed/threatened by the Mossad.

Sure, because the Bible never describes in detail where Israel is located

Should have at least called it New Israel.

It is money and fear of being labeled an antisemite that makes people bend the knee. Israel is no friend of ours, but they are a step up from the autocratic Muslim nations.
I wish we would cut them off all together and stay out of the middle east.

There are certainly religious underpinnings to our relationship, but from strictly a foreign policy perspective, having a reliable democratic (parliamentary republic) ally, with a damn capable military, amidst the hornets nest of the resource rich Middle East can’t be overstated.

Don Bacon could have at least called the book by its proper title ,” Revelation” and not,” Revelations”. That’s embarrassing.

Grab a history book.
The world, especially the US, pretty much stood by as millions of them were brutalized and then incinerated.
Upon winning WWII, the allies give them back their homeland, only for them to be immediately attacked by the Muslim countries surrounding them.
They have essentially been under one form of attack or another since then.
They are one of very few democracies in the ME, and we get a lot of intelligence through them.

We don't need their oil. With modern fracking technology we have plenty of oil here.

They infiltrated all of our institutions. They use people like Epstein to blackmail. They attack our ships. They scheme and lie. They're masters of deception.

Genesis 12:3
John 8:39
“Abraham is our father,” they answered.
“If you were Abraham’s children,” said Jesus, “then you would do what Abraham did. 40 As it is, you are looking for a way to kill me, a man who has told you the truth that I heard from God. Abraham did not do such things. 41 You are doing the works of your own father.”
42 Jesus said to them, “If God were your Father, you would love me, for I have come here from God. I have not come on my own; God sent me. 43 Why is my language not clear to you? Because you are unable to hear what I say. 44 You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your father’s desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies. 45 Yet because I tell the truth, you do not believe me! 46 Can any of you prove me guilty of sin? If I am telling the truth, why don’t you believe me? 47 Whoever belongs to God hears what God says. The reason you do not hear is that you do not belong to God.”

Gullible Christians who don't/can't understand the land and people of Biblical Israel and modern day Israel are two totally different things. European Jews were not the people in Biblical Judea and Judea was a tiny small area.
Jews in Israel do not give two shits about Christians or the United States.
