Kids shows shouldn’t hit these levels of emotions. We just started watching some here and there with our 11 m/o. Watched the “sleepytime” episode and bawled like a damn baby. Beautiful writing, beautiful imagery, just amazing. Teared up at the trampoline episode as well.

Am I overreacting? Probably. Do I care? No.

IMDb currently has Sleepytime ranked as the 27th best tv episode out of all their tv episode rankings. Just behind Point and Shoot of Better Call Saul lol.

That episode is a masterpiece

I’m infrequently on this board but agree 100%. I could watch and re-watch episodes, with or without the kids, regularly.

Hopefully whoever was behind that doesn’t stop. If they were able to do that with an animated dog family… sheesh.

Cricket just hits you in the soul IMO. Sleepytime is amazing as well. Rain is awesome too.

Having a little girl myself, I find it hard to not tear up every few episodes. The show does a fantastic job of bringing out the emotions of children and parents alike. Best children’s show ever and excellent viewing for adults

Rusty kicks arse. "So we hit him with the pace attack....what we didn't know though...."

Such a great episode.

"Flatpack" is an under the radar great. It's not as easy to catch what's going on when it's just casually on in the background, but once you sit down and watch it really goes hard.

It just hits on the small tidbits that Chili lost her baby with a miscarriage. The miscarriage obviously happens before Bluey was born, so Bluey was the 2nd pregnancy.. bingo being the 3rd

One was from “the show” when Bingo was pretending to be Chili and the balloon popped and bandit immediately put his hands on Chili to comfort her.

The second one is in Sleepy Time.

Bingo is represented by the Earth.. it hatches. 3rd planet from the sun.

Bluey is represented by Venus.. it hatches. 2nd planet from the sun

Mercury, the planet Bingo finally stops on, doesn’t hatch. Chili is talking to Bingo at the end, but also the baby she lost

Do you have kids of your own?

I didn’t either until I watched it with my daughter sitting on my lap.
