Wife and I just watched it. Exciting movie, kept us interested throughout. I’m sure others will find faults, but I thought it was a solid action flick. Wife mentioned you don’t normally see Jason Bateman as a villain, so I thought that was a nice change of pace.

I watched it thinking it was going to be one thing and it ended up being another thing - I hated it

I don’t read movie reviews on purpose. I like going into movies not knowing much about them

Was the leading lady trans? It looked like a clown.

Just watched. It was ok. Bateman and Egerton were good. Decent cast. Had Big Head from Silicon Valley.

Listen to his podcast.

I'm sort of kidding. He's a bubble dwelling progressive, but still sort of likeable.

I thought the movie was decent. Be prepared to suspend disbelief several times (see below). Also, I saw one reviewer call it a Die Hard knock off. It is not. Do not expect significant action. This is a straight up thriller. I did like Jason Bateman though.

Minor spoiler

examples: a random LA detective can apparently decide whether a plane full of women, children, and VIPs is allowed to take off with a bomb on board. Or, a woman being chased by an assassin through a crowded airport doesn't think to scream or cause a scene, just runs past hundreds of people hoping to reach some random security guard.

I liked it overall. Solid popcorn flick. Pace of the movie was perfect. And that car scene on the interstate...that was fun.

I found Taron Egerton's performance forced, and Tom Cruise may have a new actor challenging his running form. The only movie I've watched with him was Rocketman, and I thought that was a solid performance. And I know him voicing Johnny for the Sing movies (which I enjoyed his songs). I'll have to watch his other films.

Oh, and did anyone recognize Michael Scott from LSU? I remember seeing him around campus 2003-2007.

I liked it

Jason Bateman voice acting as a cold blooded I am in control villain just worked.

I am a little skeptical that the main character just walks away at the end like that without at least being brought in for several hours of debriefing to make sure he had nothing to do with anything though

“Please don’t kill my husband!” said the dude in the red baseball cap. I turned her on off right there….

I love how he’s just unapologetically a douche. I haven’t listened in a long time but he was my favorite part of it.

We enjoyed the movie. Obviously requires a major suspension of disbelief.

Is this the latest in the old British Carry On series?

It’s nothing special, but I enjoyed it.

It’s worth a watch.

Our Little Secret is the surprise Christmas movie from Netflix that was way better than I thought it would be.

Halfway through but had to run an errand. Figured there’d be a thread on it already. It’s really good. The next best “Die Hard” Christmas movie so far

+2.

Very worthy of a Netflix viewing.

Taron’s american accent was unnecessary.
