Everyone —

Calm down. Wait a couple weeks to see who COMES INTO LSU from the portal.

LSU has money. LSU is still a top tier program. Kids still wanna be here. CBK is no bigger dumbass than any other college football coach.

It’ll be OK. I promise.

Rational thinking has no place here.

They are going to do this every year without fail. Then we will land 10-12 players in TP and everyone will be ok again. Rinse and repeat. Melt and rejoice.

Panic? This shite is exciting. This is what everyone wanted so we might as well enjoy it until it burns down.

This happens every year. People announce they’re leaving, board freaks. New people come in. Rinse repeat. Start panicking after the spring game.

Debatable.

This program is running on the fumes of 2019

You aren't giving Kelly enough credit. He is a much bigger dumbass than the majority of other coaches

Melting over Pimpton (7 catches, 80 yds) while we offer TE from Arkansas, Hasz (26 catches, 324 yds, 4 TDs)

I thought we convinced ourselves we are on the precipice of a National Championship by this time?

We have to have people leave and still need another 5-7 to enter the portal to make room for the amount of players we want to bring in.

Transfer portal doesn't mean gone necessarily, right? How many enter the portal and stay (maybe none to few)?

Anyone who thinks we’re going to compete for a national championship or make the playoffs regularly without being more competitive in the NIL market is fooling themselves. This is what we are now. That’s why I don’t get mad about all this shite anymore. I’m just watching the games.

CJ Daniels may just be testing the waters. He knows he has a great QB coming back in Nuss. Could eventually come back.

an offer isn't a get.
We have players leaving with no certain replacements.
Show us the signed players! Show us that money is being spent and not just accumulated. Show us something!

Our fanbase is a bunch of pansies. And then when we do sign some productive player from a school they’ll be like “he isn’t even that good” or “this is what BK calls aggressive?” Legit might have the whiniest fan base in CFB.

Pimpton and Daniels are the only two surprises, and Daniels is the only contributor.

LSU has probably lost less key players to the portal over the last few years than any other major program.

In an unstable era, LSU has been as stable as you can be.

I actually think player contracts will eventually help solve of the portal issues. Players will likely have multi-year deals and new schools will have to buy them out to accept them.

Here is the link from On3 last year on transfer portal rankings: LINK

Strictly looking at players transferring out, looks like we had 21 players leave.

Only 2 teams (Oregon and Missouri) in the top 10 had less players transfer out than we did at 18 apiece.

By all accounts, looks like we were at or well below the average on players transferring (too lazy to do the math).

The most glaring concern was we were ranked 48th in the portal index. Hopefully, that changes this year so let's see how this all plays out.
