The worst Alabama team in 17 years came into Tiger Stadium and drug LSU all over the field

I’m still salty about it. I get losing to Alabama, but we weren’t even competitive with a very average Alabama team who lost to Vanderbilt, was blown out by a bad Oklahoma team, and that didn’t make the playoff because they went 9-3 and just weren’t very good.

I hope this really motivates LSU coaches and players to not let the last 2 wins become fool’s gold psychologically. LSU could play great at times and had talent. They couldn’t be consistent mentally or pyschically. Something needs to change in the offseason. This isn’t about talent. It’s about mindset.

Read the whole post. I’m making a point. It’s two small paragraphs.

I'm sorry to tell you this if you haven't realized it already but it's only going to get worse with BK as HC. He has done a very bad job at handling LSU's personnel here and that game if nobody realized it before should realize it by now. This is not on Orgeron anymore this is on him. His team lacks talent and this is what he wanted.

I don't think he can handle the current NCAA environment and NIL either. He has done good on recruiting class here but they're imaginary rankings. The results on the field are not showing it. Most of his recruiting classes have been busts with a few exceptions.

Consistencies at LSU so far:

-Bad coaching hires
-Questionable player development in many phases
-Questionable coaching decisions on personnel management on the field
-Bad Special Teams EVERY year
-Needs a yes man at OC which is why we ended up with Sloan who needs to be replaced
-High ranked recruiting classes that are with some good players but also a lot of busts as well
-Way too inconsistent on portal management

He's essentially Les Miles without the physicality, a more dynamic offense, and he talks smarter than him. Does that make him bad? No, because Les was a good coach in his prime despite what this board says. It's just that like any coach he has his own flaws but I'm very doubtful he can get over his flaws to the point LSU gets lucky like Les/Orgeron did. Not going to be easy in this new era of NCAA. He had a historic LSU player in Nabers, JD, and BTJ and completely squandered it due to his complete whiffs on defense with a historically bad defense. LSU should've been in the playoffs easily with those players last year. Show me how many teams you'll see miss the playoffs with a player like Jayden.

And the worst LSU fans are right here, right now in current day. The 1990s fans don’t have shite on today’s douche bags.

After the Florida game it looked like LSU switch to playing mostly a 4-3 defense and Major Burns was not playing that much.

His team has regressed in year 2 and year 3 as well and there's a lot of players development wise who also regressed or never evolved. Obviously some developed like JD but it wasn't enough to make a good team chemistry wise. Still can't believe our defense was so bad last year with that offense we could not even sniff a playoff spot.

I have no idea what BK does on film days or when it comes to the decision on who to snag from portal/HS recruiting evaluations but he needs to do better. We're in year 3 going into 4 and so far the results on the field show a team talent wise that's not getting better despite getting some homeruns like JD. Let that sink in for a minute.

I was a young fan in the 90s too.

Ignoring that there is a mental block with this team isn’t being a bad fan. It’s being a fan who will stick with this team/school no matter what, but what’s them to fix what is holding them back. That’s what good fans do. Bad fans blow sunshine no matter what.

It happens sometimes. You know Saban lost to a team called UAB in Tiger Stadium. He also lost at home to an Alabama team that was on probation from going to a bowl game and was coached by Mike Shula. That team wiped the field with LSU.

If you are still not over the loss from well over a month ago, I think you need to talk to a therapist. Bigger things in life than what happens on a football field played by 18 to 22 yr olds.

Because our defense can’t stop a mobile quarterback. Texas A&M did the same thing to us in the 2nd half. South Carolina was doing it to us until we knocked their quarterback out.

No one has yet been to be able to explain why Kelly is being held to a lower standard than any other coach of the last 20 years.

He hasn't even won anything of substance at LSU to warrant being given extra slack like Saban, Les, and O.

I agree that getting your arse kicked at home is a shite sandwich but…

I mean, they also beat Georgia, S. Carolina, Missouri, and Michigan. I mean, they had the most talented roster in the conference.

Except he’s recruiting at a higher blue chip level than we ever have before. FACT!

So you expected him to completely turn around the dumpster fire Ed Orgeron left in less than 2 years? I’d say the fact that he got us to the SEC championship despite the dumpster fire was a win. You are delusional.

This next year will be the first year it all falls on BK. If there is zero improvement next year, you can legitimately start complaining.

This years defensive and o line recruiting haul is pretty fricking good already without what we will inevitably add from the portal.

You are also not taking into account that going undefeated is not going to be the norm anymore for any team in the new era of college football. 10 and 2 is going to be considered a “great” season now. Why? Because on any given day, any opponent you play in the SEC has the capability of beating you. Just look at how two unranked teams dominated Bama. How your eventual SEC champion lost two (and very easily could have lost two other) games. How the only reason Texas went 11-1 in regular season was because they played the weakest schedule in the SEC and still barely made 11-1. They literally only played one ranked team all regular season and lost to them (eventually twice).

No, 8-4 shouldn’t be what we shoot for, but I hate to break the news to you, those seasons are going to happen now far more frequently for every team in the SEC. Trans are going to drop games they probably shouldn’t and win a few they probably shouldn’t. For instance, we probably shouldn’t have lost to USC, Florida, or even A&M but we probably should have lost to Ole Miss and or SC. I don’t have an issue saying I think Ole Miss and SC were probably a much more complete team top to bottom this year than LSU. That won’t always be the case though.
