Always looked forward to watching this on ABC right before the Holidays. ABC had this and the Halloween Great Pumpkin and back in 2021 they sold the rights of these holiday specials to Apple+. You now have to pay a subscription to see what was available for free for decades.

Would love to see your commentary instead of just a 6 minute clip of the show
I'm not sure about this year, but I believe Apple+ granted PBS 1 showing per year.

I looked for it the other day. I didn’t see it on PBS.
Besides, PBS / NPR = far left / hate Christianity at this point.
I would be shocked to see it on PBS. Happily surprised, but shocked nonetheless.

Times do seem to have been much more simple and far less stressful than it is today.

It can be watched for free on Apple TV on December 14 and 15. You don’t have to have an account.

the 60's were rife with social and political turmoil along the Vietnam... Not sure I would say "far less"...

All of that video to hear the blonde sister say “all I want is my fair share.” Then it ends

Thanks for posting I suppose as the piano score and sound effects are awesome and nostalgic. Not sure where you are probing regarding indoctrination however. How is Charlie Brown 'fighting back' in the present?

I grew up in the city where Charles Schulz lived and there are still Peanuts statues all over town. My hubby gave me a stuffed Snoopy after we got married and now it lives on my side of the bed. (I'm always on his side.)

In fact, the 60’s were far more stressful than what we’ve been going through. We had a couple of assassination attempts; the 60’s had a President killed, a likely successor killed and MLK killed. We had an actual hot war in Vietnam that people were being drafted into and killed. We had campus protests that were very violent, and we had snipers and bombings happening constantly. There was way more violence than today.

Bought it on Vudu for like $9 years ago and watch it every year

But that’s the whole point of the show. Everyone is consumed with commercialism except Charlie Brown. Slowly but surely towards the end all the characters recognize the true meaning of Christmas. It’s a wonderful story.
