Tired of my pos Vortex bino harness. Looking to buy a new one. What says the OB?

Just spent 2 weeks in Montana chasing Elk and the FHF Bino Harness was fantastic.

I have a marsupial enclosed and it’s my favorite piece of hunting gear I own. Very well made.

I’ve got Badlands enclosed. I would look at other brands, though I like the slot for my phone.

This is what I went with as well. Very well made and tons of options for customizing your kit.

Same here. I’ve used it deer hunting and hunting in Botswana. Highly recommended.

I have the eberlestock recon and really like it. I like the forward opening lids for the bino and rangefinder pouches. It is also modular so they offer additional bags/mounts.

If you use a ballistic rangefinder or rangefinder binos, compass, iPhone mapping a bunch, I’d try to get one without magnets. I’ve used the normal marsupials in a few different flavors, the marsupial no mag, and now I have a Kifaru. The non magnetic ones really narrow your options.

They all have their pros and cons. There’s so many good options that are made and sourced in the USA at no real price premium. The marsupial straps are my favorite and the finish on all their stuff is incredible. I collect some condensation when I’m really sweating in the enclosed models. The Kifaru straps suck but the binos drop in easier and I don’t get any condensation in that one.

FHF is a great harness system.

FHF and buy the padded harness add on.

Very comfortable. I didn’t buy the bino specific pack and opted for the turkey hunting pack (which is just a big fanny pack) and it ironically fits my largest binoculars 10x42, Zyn, Copenhagen, flashlight, clippers, hand warmers, rounds and water.

Who in the heck likes having a giant arse box on their chest? I just can’t figure out why or how fellas can maneuver with a box on their chest. I hunt mobile alot and want as less stuff hanging off me as possible.

The “Pros” on tv have to wear them to show off the name of their sponsor but no way is that practical in my opinion.

I’ve never worn one so maybe I’m missing something.

I have a cheap Cabelas brand harness going on 8-10 years now and no complaints. Wife has an Allen brand one but I find with the Allen the back where the straps connect is too big.

You are. It's the most convenient way to carry stuff you need to access and store quickly and quietly, primarily binoculars. It doesn't get in the way at all.

I have a T&K harness, it is very similar to Marsupial. I picked T&K because I liked that the accessory cases attached to the bino case itself and not hanging on the straps

If I'm climbing into a tree, the chest harness is easiest as it's out of the way and much less bulky/cumbersome in the stand...not to mention a lot quieter and requires less movement to access essentials.

If I'm hunting in a box stand I bring a backpack with beverages, snacks, battery chargers, piss bottle, iPad for kids, and I watch college football like I was on the couch at the camp.

That's it....that's the difference.

It is not “hanging off” at all, it’s very tight to your chest and not in the way. I would argue a backpack hangs up on limbs/briars more often when climbing and walking. The bino harness with a couple extra pouches has replaced any extra bag I used to carry.

I hear ya.

I don’t use back packs either. If it doesn’t fit in a pocket or around my neck it stays. Heck I even put my shooting stick in my left side pocket and tuck the top under my orange vest.
