The committee couldn’t make it any clearer: cancel the Clemson game

And any other remotely tough OOC game.
SOS is totally irrelevant.
The ONLY thing that matters is straight W and L.
Play a cream puff OOC schedule. Win games.

Bama is out because they got waxxed by a terrible Oklahoma team with their own destiny in their hands.
Ole Miss same thing to Florida. Neither deserved to make it in.

Agree with this. If people question it, send their complaints to the committee. The precedent is set.

Only problem is you need some challenge before SEC play.
Ole Miss played nothing but creampuffs and weren't ready wasn't ready when it got punched in the mouth in SEC play.
I am for the Clemson game WITH a warmup game before.
However, I hate doing it but after today, must change my mind . If SOS means nothing, then the incentive is for LSU to drop Clemson.
The networks aren't going to like this so I bet they put pressure on CFP to change the formula some.

The Clemson series will not be cancelled and the NCAA has nothing to do with the CFP.

While it sticks I actually do agree. I just wish we had a team that beats the odds, beats the best ooc team’s and forces committee to let us in regardless

The purpose of the playoffs is to find the national champion. We already know Alabama and ol miss aren’t the best in college football so there’s no need for them to be in the playoffs. A playoff invitation is not supposed to be some sort of alternative prize.
