The City of Mississauga raised the Christian banner in the city centre for the first time, after the municipality recently declared Christian Heritage Month. Seats quickly filled, and many had to stand during the ceremony. On Wednesday, around 100 community members, including city councillors, the city’s mayor, Carolyn Parrish, and Christians of various denominations and non-denominations, attended the historic flag-raising event.
The ceremony leading up to the flag-raising was filled with praise music, Christmas carols, speeches and prayer led by Christian pastors and priests. Source: True North In November, city councillors unanimously passed a motion brought forward by Councilor Brad Butt to declare December “Christian Heritage Month.” Attendees, including Parrish, told True North how “diverse” the Christian community is as members of the Coptic Orthodox community, Catholics, evangelicals, and people of many ethnicities attended.
Butt told True North at the event that the showing underscored and affirmed the council’s unanimous decision to proclaim the month to celebrate the heritage of Christianity in Canada. “It just shows that the community is completely united around this and that this was a very important recognition for our city,” Butt said.
According to Statistics Canada, in 2021, nearly half, 49.5%, of Mississauga’s 717,961 residents identified as Christians.

Rookie numbers. Gotta bump those up.

That's great. Christians need to stop living in fear of the secular world. Just accept and believe in what Jesus told us.
They will hate and persecute you because of Him.

The city should issue a press release and announce that they round percentages up or down like normal humans.

That is not going to sit with with the war on Christianity faction of the US

Same. Made a stop at a pub and had a stein of Alexander Keith’s. It was so much smoother than the typical American beer. Much higher alcohol content too. The Canadian company I used to work for had a DC in Mississauga and 6 other cities across the country and about half of the grocery stores. We owned Maple Leaf Gardens too.

It is where the Toronto airport is (Pearson).

My brother-in-law and his family live in Mississauga. I'll have to ask him about this. He would support it 100%. Hell, they were probably there. He hates Justin Trudeau with the heat of a thousand suns.
EDIT: Just sent him a text asking about this. He said that a lot of communities across Ontario may also follow Mississauga's lead on this, and make it an official thing. A grass roots effort to counter recent pro-Hamas protests in Mississauga and Toronto. He says the conservatives are truly sick of Tredeau's shite, and their shitty government in general. And the immigration and crime related to it. He just wishes they had a Trump-esque figure.

This is stupid. Now you have to do Islamic Heritage Month. Wicca Heritage Month. Satan Worshiper Heritage Month.
Just keep religion out of government already! This doesn't mean YOU can't practice religion, but stop forcing your religion in government.

No they don’t.
Down vote it all you want. Doesn’t change the fact they don’t have to do shite.
