Anyone know these folks? What a hoss, 7" bases, the mass number has to be huge. Supposedly low fence family land close to Delhi. Pics make it look bigger no doubt but still a true giant.

That buck is big enough that it doesn’t need the ridiculous hoist angle that makes the head look like a bull.

Hell of a buck.

That store reminds me of Nichols in Leesville or Many. "Move those scented candles and decorative plates out of the way and set him up right here at the register, Honey.".

Low fence meaning not high fence & free range? I’ve never heard this used

I’ve heard it used to describe properties in Texas where there is a fence tall enough to keep pigs out but that deer can easily clear. I take it to imply the deer wasn’t wearing an ear tag when shot.

I get skeptical when I hear the word fence when it pertains to hunting.

My old man lives up that way and knows that property. He said it wasn’t a pen deer, totally free. He described it as a “lifetime buck” and estimates it was 6.5 yo.

The mass measurements have to be crazy to get that score with that tine length. Congrats to the young lady. Supposedly, never had pics of the buck. I’m sure that was a nice surprise.

Guess it is a Texas thing, by my definition it means it was not behind a high fence. We don't have much free range over here, it's either low or high fence .

Does anyone have free range these days? Ha.

Generally from what I have seen, is low fence refers to properties that are big enough to have animals that never leave their property but could if they wanted. As in probably 1000+ acres, and not just a 50 acre tract.

Those pictures are absolutely ruining any positive feelings I have about that buck. Would love to see normal ones.

My dream big game animal is not an elk, moose, or sheep. It’s a MS whitetail with 40” of mass measurements.

Sounds like there are plenty of folks on here that know the family, hopefully better pics will follow.
